Travis (hand) is out of the lineup Friday against the Twins, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fortunately, Travis has said that his hand injury is very minor and that he's ready to play. However, the Blue Jays will be cautious with their second baseman and give him the night off, so consider Travis day-to-day heading into Saturday. Darwin Barney will start at second and bat ninth Friday night.

Travis (hand) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Angels, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The news comes as a bit of a surprise, as Travis was initially expected to return Wednesday but he's apparently still dealing with some soreness in his knuckles after receiving a cortisone injection Tuesday. The second baseman is still considered day-to-day going forward, with Darwin Barney -- starting at the keystone again Thursday -- figuring to continue filling in during his absence.

Travis (hand) is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Angels, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis had been expected to rejoin the lineup in time for Wednesday's tilt, but it appears he needs an extra day after receiving a cortisone injection Tuesday for lingering knuckle soreness. Darwin Barney will draw another start at second base in his place and bat lead off, with Travis now targeting a Thursday return.

Travis (knuckle) is expected to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis received a cortisone injection to alleviate some soreness in his knuckles, and simply took a rest day to let the cortisone do it's job. Look for him to be back at second base on Wednesday.

Travis's absence from Tuesday's lineup is due to knuckle soreness, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fortunately, Travis is expected to return to action in the near future. He received an injection to alleviate the soreness and is getting the day off so that it heals properly. If he needs another day to rest, look for Darwin Barney to fill in at second base.

Travis is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Angels.

Travis went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI in Tuesday's 12-6 win over the Yankees
EDGE Analysis
Travis continued his red-hot August, as he has now earned extra bases on eight of his 23 hits in 15 games this month. Toronto's second baseman is a good source of runs thanks to his place atop a dangerous Blue Jays lineup capable of putting up crooked numbers like this one at any time.

Travis went 4-for-5 with an RBI and scored twice in Monday's win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Travis eclipsed a pair of milestones on the night. The 25-year-old's four-hit game was the first of his career, and he also recorded his first career triple to lead off the game. Travis has provided instant offense at the top of the Blue Jays' order, notching 12 hits in his last 22 at-bats, and recording 11 multi-hit games over his last 20 games.

Travis went 2-for-5 with two solo shots, including a tie-breaking blast in the top of the ninth inning, in Friday's 4-3 victory over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Travis, who's continues to bounce around the batting order, made his case for the leadoff job by hitting his eighth homer of the season on the fourth pitch of the game. He added a second drive, his ninth blast, which wound up being the game winner, with two outs in the ninth. After a delayed start 2016 due to a shoulder injury, Travis now has 232 plate appearances under his belt, which more than he had in all of last year's rookie campaign. Although he and manager John Gibbons would like to see the second baseman atop the lineup, Travis' 21 percent strikeout rate is enough reason to hold off on making a definitive decision just yet.

Travis went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's 9-1 victory over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
He got the Blue Jays' comeback started in the fifth, launching a 412-foot solo homer in the fifth that erased an early 1-0 deficit. The 25-year-old now has a modest four-game hitting streak, and has multi-hit efforts in five of his last nine contests overall. Travis is also one homer away from equaling the eight he tallied in his 2015 rookie season and is slashing a solid .291/.335/.466 on the season.
