The Dodgers are expecting ''good things'' from Dee Gordon this season, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.
Gordon bounced back from a mid-season demotion with the Dodgers to post a .304/.325/.362 batting line in the month of September and looks to be primed for a breakout season in 2012. According to Olney, Gordon has been working out extensively with Barry Larkin and Juan Castro this winter.

Dee Gordon went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two stolen bases in Friday's win over the Braves.
He's now gone 5-for-10 in his two games since being activated from the DL and has swiped 14 bags on the year in just 32 games. We don't think Gordon is ready to hit with consistency at the major league level, but he'll steal enough bases to be mixed league-worthy.

Gordon has been sidelined for nearly a month with a bruised right shoulder. He will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Thursday afternoon against the Pirates and figures to get regular playing time down the stretch. The speedy rookie is worth adding in NL-only formats.

Dodgers placed SS Dee Gordon on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 10, with a bruised right shoulder.
As expected. An MRI on Wednesday ruled out anything serious with the shoulder, but the Dodgers decided to place the young shortstop on the disabled list as a precaution. He is expected to be ready when eligible. Jamey Carroll will be the primary shortstop during his absence.

Dee Gordon (shoulder) will be placed on the disabled list.
The good news is that Gordon had an MRI Wednesday that revealed only a bruised right shoulder, but the Dodgers want to place it safe with their talented youngster. "He'll go on the disabled list just as a precaution, just to make sure it totally goes away," manager Don Mattingly said. "He'll be back to baseball activities in a few days. We kind of thought he'd be a week, but we wanted to make sure he'll be fine when he comes back." The speedster is batting just .234/.248/.270 with 12 steals through 30 games. Jamey Carroll will handle shortstop while Gordon is out.
