Dodgers placed SS Dee Gordon on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 10, with a bruised right shoulder. As expected. An MRI on Wednesday ruled out anything serious with the shoulder, but the Dodgers decided to place the young shortstop on the disabled list as a precaution. He is expected to be ready when eligible. Jamey Carroll will be the primary shortstop during his absence.
