Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Friday that Dee Gordon will likely remain in the minors until Triple-A Albuquerque's season is over so that he can continue to play every day. Gordon is currently working his way back from surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. The 24-year-old is 2-for-15 (.133) over his first five rehab games and figures to join the Dodgers at some point in September.

Dodgers transferred SS Dee Gordon from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list. Gordon has been out since July 5 with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb, so he'll be eligible to return next week. It's not clear at this point when he'll be ready for activation, though.

Dee Gordon had the cast removed from his right thumb. Gordon underwent surgery on July 6 to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. The speedy shortstop is scheduled to travel to Arizona next Friday to begin his rehab, but he's unlikely to return until the end of the month.

Dee Gordon's surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb went as expected on Friday. The speedy shortstop will now be sidelined for the next six weeks while resting and rehabbing the injury. Luis Cruz appears to have a leg up on the starting shortstop job in Los Angeles for the time being, but Elian Herrera and Jerry Hairston Jr. could also get a look.

Dodgers placed SS Dee Gordon on the 15-day disabled list with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. Gordon will undergo surgery on the thumb and is expected to miss six weeks. It's an awful blow for the speedy shortstop, who was already struggling in his second season in the big leagues. Luis Cruz will make the start at shortstop on Thursday night, but Elian Herrera and Jerry Hairston, Jr. could also fill in for now.

Dee Gordon needs surgery on his right thumb and is expected to miss six weeks. Tough break for the speedy shortstop, who suffered a dislocated thumb during Wednesday's game. Surgery will keep him sidelined through mid-to-late August. Luis Cruz, Elian Herrera and Jerry Hairston are the in-house options at shortstop, but the Dodgers could be in the market for some middle infield help leading up to the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline. The Dodgers plan to activate Javy Guerra (knee) to replace him on the active roster.

He was scheduled to undergo an MRI on Thursday, so the Dodgers should have an update on his status soon. Luis Cruz will make the start at shortstop.

Dee Gordon was diagnosed with a dislocated right thumb. Gordon suffered the injury while stealing third base in Wednesday night's game against the Reds. The Dodgers' medical team will give him an MRI on Thursday morning to get a better idea about the damage done. He's doubtful to play again before the All-Star break.

Dee Gordon (leg) is not in Monday's lineup against the Reds. Gordon had a cramp in his left leg during during Sunday's game and is getting a day off for precautionary reasons. Luis Cruz will make the start at shortstop.
