Dee Gordon continued to show off his speed on Monday, going 2-for-3 with his ninth steal of the season. He also was caught for the fourth time, but we'll forgive him based on his productive evening, which included a run scored and an RBI. While he is batting only .238, Gordon will be given every opportunity to flourish as a table-setter.

Dee Gordon was clocked at 3.79 seconds from home to first in Saturday's game against the Indians. He also stole a base and scored on a grounder to deep short. If he can hit .300 and raise his OBP from last season, Gordon could be a real threat to lead the majors in steals.

Dee Gordon is day-to-day after taking a bad hop off his mouth Saturday. "He ended up with a couple of stitches," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said after Gordon took a ball to his face during batting practice. Gordon required stitches after the incident. The youngster bounced back from a mid-season demotion with the Dodgers last season to post a .304/.325/.362 batting line in September. He's primed for a breakout season in 2012
