CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Dodgers will call up SS Dee Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque. Gordon will look to provide an offensive spark for Dodgers with Hanley Ramirez expected to be placed on the DL. The 25-year-old is batting .314/.397/.390 with 14 steals over 25 games in the Pacific Coast League and could be worth a flier in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports that the Dodgers are considering calling up SS Dee Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque. With Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) likely to be placed on the disabled list, the Dodgers will go with either Justin Sellers at shortstop, or promote Gordon, who has more offensive potential but has struggled with his defense this season. Gordon is batting .314/.397/.390 with 14 steals over 25 games in the Pacific Coast League.

Dee Gordon has begun taking grounders at second base during pregame workouts at Triple-A Albuquerque. Gordon has struggled with his throws from the hole at shortstop and doesn't have great range to his right despite his freakish athleticism, so the Dodgers are considering moving him to a different position. The 25-year-old is batting .302/.368/.417 this season on the farm with 12 stolen bases in 14 attempts. He should climb to the major league level at some point this summer.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said the team is satisfied with Justin Sellers at shortstop and is not considering calling up Dee Gordon. Sellers is batting just .176/.263/.265, but he's provided good defense other than one game where he made a pair of errors. Meanwhile, Gordon is hitting .319/.385/.468 with eight steals at Triple-A, but evidently a promotion isn't on the horizon.

Dodgers optioned INF Dee Gordon to Triple-A Albuquerque. There was some thought that the Dodgers would put Gordon on their Opening Day roster to help back up Luis Cruz at shortstop while Hanley Ramirez (thumb) is out. But it's not going to happen. Gordon has great speed but can be ignored in most fantasy draft this season.

Dee Gordon (ankle) is back in the lineup Friday. Gordon had missed the last few days with a sprained left ankle. He's playing shortstop and Luis Cruz is at third base, which could be the alignment the Dodgers use while Hanley Ramirez is out. They're also considering using Cruz at short and a combination of Juan Uribe, Jerry Hairston and Nick Punto at the hot corner.

Dee Gordon is day-to-day with a sprained left ankle. Gordon rolled his ankle in a home plate collision on Monday. However, it doesn't sound like a major concern right now.

Dee Gordon went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a pair of doubles in Thursday's tie against the Rangers. Gordon has now swiped seven bags already this spring if you include the pair he stole versus Mexico Wednesday. The speedster is expected to begin 2013 at Triple-A but could eventually get a shot if the Dodgers give up on Luis Cruz and move Hanley Ramirez back to third base.

Dee Gordon went 2-for-2 with an RBI double, two stolen bases and two runs scored in an exhibition game against Mexico on Wednesday. Gordon also had a bunt single. The speedy shortstop has been active on the basepaths this spring and has also shown good patience, but he doesn't figure to get a chance at playing time unless the Dodgers give up on Luis Cruz and move Hanley Ramirez back to third base. Still, he'd be an automatic pickup in deeper mixed leagues if (or when) he gets a shot.

Dee Gordon singled, walked twice, scored two runs and stole two bases in Friday's loss to the Angels. Not a bad way to fill up the boxscore. There's no doubting Gordon's speed, but he batted just .228 in 87 games with the Dodgers last season and will likely begin this season with Triple-A Albuquerque.
