David Wright left Thursday's game against the Brewers after being hit in the helmet by a pitch. Wright took a changeup from Johnny Hellweg off his head before walking off the field. He looked OK while walking off the field, but he'll undoubtedly undergo concussion tests. If he displays any symptoms at all, obviously his season would be over.

David Wright slugged a solo home run Saturday in the Mets' 5-4 defeat of the Phillies. The game was called in the middle of the seventh inning due to rainy conditions in Philadelphia. Wright boasts four hits -- two of them homers -- and three RBI in two games since returning from the disabled list. The third baseman will be given a day off on Sunday.

David Wright will not play on Sunday. The Mets want to give their star third baseman a day off after playing him in two straight games following his Friday return from the disabled list. Wright is batting .310/.391/.518 with 17 home runs and 56 RBI.

In his first game back from the disabled list, David Wright (hamstring) went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 6-4 win over the Phillies on Friday. Wright homered in his first at-bat in seven weeks, connecting for an opposite field homer off Cole Hamels in the top of the first inning. The 30-year-old is now batting .310/.391/.518 with 17 home runs and 56 RBI over 106 games this season. He might not play everyday the rest of the way, but he's a must-start in fantasy leagues when he's in the lineup.

Mets activated 3B David Wright from the 15-day disabled list. The third baseman has missed the previous six-and-a-half weeks with a Grade 3 right hamstring strain. He might not play every day down the stretch, but fantasy owners should obviously activate him right away. Wright returns to a .309/.391/.512 batting line.

David Wright (hamstring) is expected to return to the Mets' starting lineup on Friday night. Wright has been out for six-and-a-half weeks with a high-grade right hamstring strain. He was batting .309 with a .904 OPS in 105 games before the injury and should be scooped up in fantasy leagues where he was dropped.

David Wright (hamstring) is unlikely to play in the Mets' three-game series against the Giants. Wright is making steady progress in his return from a Grade 3 hamstring strain, but he's not quite ready yet. The out-of-contention Mets will probably continue to play it safe with their star third baseman.

David Wright ran the bases at increased intensity without any issues on Saturday, and is expected to return to the Mets lineup next week during their series against the Giants which begins on Tuesday. Wright maintained all along that he would return before the end of the 2013 season, and it appears that the hard work he's put into his recovery effort has paid off. He'll return to a .309/.391/.512 line, and should be very beneficial to fantasy owners over the final two weeks of the season.

David Wright (hamstring) was able to run the bases at Citi Field on Friday, and will do so again with increased intensity on Saturday. The All-Star third baseman still has his sights set on returning before the end of the 2013 season, and it appears he's making tangible progress toward meeting that goal. Before hitting the disabled list on August 3, Wright was hitting .309/.391/.512 with 16 homers, 54 RBI and 17 stolen bases.
