Mets skipper Terry Collins said over the All-Star break that Wright suffered from an injured foot at the end of the first half. The veteran third baseman downplayed the revelation, saying the malady hasn't affected him. Expect Wright, batting .308/.398/.521, to remain an ultra-productive constant in New York's second half lineup.

David Wright finished 2-for-5 with an RBI single Friday against the Pirates. The fans from Pittsburgh let Wright have it for not including Pedro Alvarez among the original participants, but that didn't stop him from extending his hitting streak to 12 games. His batting line is up to .310/.403/.518 for the year. Wright had a similar first half last season before fading after July, so fantasy owners will have to hope that he keeps it up after the All-Star break.

David Wright is not in Thursday's lineup against the Rockies. He's getting a scheduled day off. Zach Lutz will make the start at third base.

Wright doubled in the fourth inning, doubled again in the fifth inning, tripled in the seventh inning and finished the afternoon off with a ninth-inning solo shot. He is batting .309/.390/.533 with 12 home runs and 41 RBI.

David Wright went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers in the Mets' 4-3 victory over the Braves on Thursday. It was Wright's second two-homer game of the year and 20th of his career. A full quarter of those 20 have come against Atlanta. His 32 lifetime homers against the Braves are five more than he has against any other team.

David Wright went 3-for-3 with a walk in Friday's loss to the Cubs. Wright has eight hits in his last 11 at-bats, which has pulled his batting average up from .275 to .297 on the year. With nine home runs and 35 RBI through 62 games, he's having a very typical Wright season. His 12 stolen bases have been a nice bonus, though.

David Wright went 2-for-5 with a home run as the Mets beat the Nationals 10-1 on Wednesday. The homer was Wright's eighth and his first since May 27. The star third baseman has been in a bit of a slump lately, going just 2-for-22 in his last six games before Wednesday. He's too good to stay mired in a funk for long, though, so Wednesday may be a sign that things are turning around.

David Wright homered and tripled Monday in the Mets' 2-1 victory over the Yankees. Wright homered to get the Mets on the board in the seventh, and the club took the lead on Daniel Murphy's single in the eighth. Wright busted out of a little 2-for-23 slump that had dropped his average from .315 to .284.

David Wright went 3-for-4 with a homer and a steal against the Cubs on Friday. Wright turned his right ankle coming around third base late in the game, but he was able to walk it off. An elite fantasy bat so far, he's hitting .312 with six homers and nine steals.
