David Wright smacked a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 14th inning as the Mets beat the Phillies 5-4 on Saturday evening at Citizens Bank Park. Wright didn't have the best all-around afternoon, striking out three times in seven trips to the plate, but he was able to play the role of hero in extras with his single to shallow left field that scored Ruben Tejada. Wright is batting just .294/.339/.396 on the season, though he does have 30 RBI in 55 games for an 88-RBI pace.

David Wright singled in a run and launched a solo homer in Wednesday's win over the Pirates. Wright hit just .262 with one homer in April, but his bat has gotten hot in May, as he's batted .342 with three bombs over 26 contests this month. The hot streak has pushed his season line to a nice .304/.349/.415. Lucas Duda also went deep for the Mets Wednesday.

David Wright finished 3-for-4 with a home run in the Mets' loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday. Wright doubled in the bottom of the first inning, singled in the bottom of the third inning, and then hit a solo shot in the bottom of the fifth inning. The home run was only his third of the year. He's carrying a .307 batting average, and the power numbers should soon catch up.

Friday's game between the Mets and Diamondbacks was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday. Mets manager Terry Collins announced that Daisuke Matsuzaka would work the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with Raphael Montero working in the first game as scheduled.

David Wright went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Nationals. Wright was an activate participant in a Mets offense that otherwise didn't get much going against Nationals starter Jordan Zimmermann until the sixth inning. Wright has cooled off a bit after a torrid start to the month of May, and is now slashing .287/.332/.376.

David Wright went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBI as the Mets defeated the Yankees on Tuesday. Wright has come alive in the month of May, having now hit safely in 11 consecutive games which includes six multi-hit games. He had a .610 OPS after the Mets' loss on May 1, and he now sits at .736. That being said, Wright is still deficient in the power department as his .395 slugging percentage is comprised of 36 singles, 10 doubles, and two home runs.

David Wright launched a solo home run in the Mets' loss to the Phillies on Saturday in New York. It was Wright's first home run since Opening Day. He also added a double and a single, and is now batting .295/.344/.397 with 21 RBI in 35 games this season.

David Wright went 4-for-6 with an RBI and a run scored in the Mets' 4-3, 14-inning win over the Braves on Sunday. All four hits were singles, as the Mets didn't register an extra-base hit in the marathon win. He's got an 11-game hitting streak and is 12-for-24 (.500) in recent days. The four-hit day raised his season average to .316.

David Wright was ejected from Sunday's game against the Angels for arguing balls and strikes. It appeared as though frustration simply boiled over from getting pounded by the Angels in the ballgame. Teammate Daniel Murphy joined in on the argument and got the gate as well.

David Wright went 2-for-4 and scored a run in Wednesday's loss to the Braves. Wright had been held hitless in the three games prior to Wednesday, but was able to snap out of the funk with one of the three hits Ervin Santana scattered over eight innings. His other single contributed to a three-run, nearly-successful rally in the ninth inning.
