David Ortiz went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in the loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Ortiz also had a bases-loaded double, raising his RBI total to 15 in just nine games. The designated hitter is batting .500 since his return to the lineup, and his heels seem to be a non-issue, at least in the early going. He's still got a few good years left in that aging bat.

David Ortiz went 2-for-4 in Sunday's win over Houston.
Ortiz also tallied two RBI and is now batting .516/.529/.871 with two home runs, five doubles and 11 RBI in eight games since coming off the disabled list. The veteran designated hitter may be the hottest hitter in MLB.

David Ortiz continued his insanely hot hitting, going 2-for-3 with three RBI in Saturday's 8-4 victory over the Astros.
Ortiz also walked in the contest. He's hitting an absurd .519/.533/.889 with two homers and nine RBI through his first seven games, and is showing no ill-effects of the Achilles injury that delayed the start of his season. He remains one of the most prolific run producers in the game and is delivering tremendous returns for fantasy owners who called his name in the later rounds of drafts.

David Ortiz went 3-for-4 with his first homer and three runs scored on Thursday.
It figured that Ortiz might need some time to get going after his brief rehab start, but that hasn't been the case. He's 11-for-20 in five games, and he took Houston's Philip Humber deep tonight.

David Ortiz is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Athletics.
Ortiz has played in three straight games since coming off the disabled list, so he's likely just getting some routine rest. Jonny Gomes will serve as the DH on Tuesday while Daniel Nava will play left field

David Ortiz (heels) will likely sit out the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Royals.
Ortiz made his first start of 2013 on Saturday, going 2-for-4 with an RBI single. He's in the lineup for the first game of the twin-billing, but it makes sense not to push him too hard early on. Big Papi seems healthy enough to resume his role as the team's designated hitter on a regular basis and should be started accordingly going forward in fantasy leagues.

David Ortiz (heels) went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in his return from the disabled list Saturday.
Ortiz also set the tone for the afternoon with some memorable pre-game comments. The veteran slugger will likely require routine maintenance days every now and again, but he should be the regular DH and cleanup hitter moving forward.

David Ortiz (heel) told reporters that he is ready to join the Red Sox lineup on Friday night.
Ortiz has missed the first 19 days of the 2013 regular season with inflammation in both of his heels. But he has been playing in minor league rehab games without discomfort and can be added to fantasy lineups immediately. The Red Sox are expected to demote outfielder Jackie Bradley in a corresponding move.

David Ortiz (heel) still expects to be activated from the disabled list Friday.
Ortiz missed a rehab game with Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday due to mild soreness in his left heel, but it's not a major concern, as he's back in the lineup Tuesday. "I've got another three games before I go to the bigs, so I think it will be fine," said Ortiz. "I'm seeing pitches. A guy like me, I have an idea about the things that I want to do." While the veteran slugger is optimistic, he'll have to make it through the next three games without a setback. The Red Sox are likely to send Jackie Bradley, Jr. down to the minors once Ortiz is ready.
