Coco Crisp (foot) will not play in Sunday's game against the Mariners.
Crisp has fouled a pitch off his foot in two straight games, so he will get some rest on Sunday. The speedy outfielder should return to the A's lineup early next week.

Coco Crisp left Saturday's game with a right shin contusion.
Crisp fouled a pitch off his shin in the first inning but remained in the game until the fifth. He has been banged up for most of the second half, so this is just another bump and bruise to add to the list.

Coco Crisp went 4-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Oakland's 6-4, 10-inning win over the Yankees on Wednesday.
Crisp took CC Sabathia deep for a solo shot in the first before hitting what would prove to be a game-winning, three-run homer off of Rafael Soriano in the 10th. He had homered just five times all season coming into this evening. Now batting .274/.331/.401 on the year, Crisp has posted 36 extra-base hits, 43 RBI and 37 stolen bases in 111 games.

If Coco Crisp (calf) isn't ready to play by Monday, the Athletics are likely to place him on the disabled list.
The outfielder has missed five straight games with a right calf strain. Crisp was able to do some running before Friday's game, which is obviously a good sign, but the A's are running out of patience.

Coco Crisp (calf) was held out of the Athletics' starting lineup for the fifth straight day Friday.
"He came out and did some running today," said Athletics manager Bob Geren. "I think we're getting closer. I don't want to predict a date, but we'll say we're closer." Geren doesn't believe Crisp will need to be placed on the disabled list, though things could change if he doesn't play this weekend.

Coco Crisp (calf) is expected to miss his fourth straight game Thursday.
Crisp strained his right calf in Saturday's game and the soreness is still lingering. "He's going to do some baseball activity out here today, so that's encouraging," manager Bob Melvin said. "But we want to make sure that when we do bring him back he's ready to go. I don't want to chance that, because any time there's a pull, especially in the legs, that's a big part of his game, and we want to be careful with that."
