Coco Crisp (calf) was held out of the Athletics' starting lineup for the fifth straight day Friday. "He came out and did some running today," said Athletics manager Bob Geren. "I think we're getting closer. I don't want to predict a date, but we'll say we're closer." Geren doesn't believe Crisp will need to be placed on the disabled list, though things could change if he doesn't play this weekend.
