Coco Crisp's agent, Steve Comte, told Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com that his client wants to play for a winning team and find a home for "a few years." It was initially believed that Crisp preferred to play on the West Coast, but the veteran center fielder has apparently broadened his horizons given the lack of potential landing spots. Comte says that "quite a few teams" are involved while Rosenthal hears that the Cardinals and Cubs have interest. Crisp, 33, batted .264/.314/.379 with eight homers, 54 RBI, 49 stolen bases and a .693 OPS this past season with Oakland.

Coco Crisp's agent told Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he doesn't want to "characterize" his discussions with the Cardinals. Nothing appears imminent and Crisp is drawing interest from multiple teams, but the Cards are in the market for a right-handed hitting center fielder. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reported over the weekend that St. Louis has interest in both Crisp and Cody Ross.

According to Steve Henson of Yahoo! Sports, the Cardinals are in discussions to sign free agent outfielder Coco Crisp. If signed, Crisp would play center field and bat leadoff while Jon Jay would move over to right field until Allen Craig is ready to return from knee surgery. The Cardinals also have interest in Carlos Beltran, but Crisp would certainly be the cheaper option. The 33-year-old batted .264/.314/.379 with eight homers, 54 RBI, 49 stolen bases and a .693 OPS this past season with Oakland.

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Cardinals have expressed interest in free agent outfielders Coco Crisp and Cody Ross. They would seemingly be backup plans in the event the Cards weren't able to land Carlos Beltran, who seems to be their Plan A. Crisp and Ross would fill in in right field until Allen Craig (knee surgery) is ready, and at that point they would offer the club an option to platoon in center field with Jon Jay.

According to Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors, the Cubs and Dodgers are interested in Coco Crisp. Crisp batted just .264/.314/.379 in 136 games this past year for Oakland, but he led the American League in steals and could provide an influx of speed to any roster. The Cubs would probably need to trade Alfonso Soriano to open up enough playing time for the 33-year-old free agent outfielder. He's known to prefer the West Coast, so the Dodgers might make more sense.

Coco Crisp's agent Steve Comte told Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle that his client would be a good fit for the Giants. "Covelli has made it clear that he would like to play for a team that is determined to compete, and he'd also like to stay on the West Coast," said Comte. "I think the Giants would be a viable option for him and vice versa." Can't say we disagree, as the Giants are in need of a center fielder and leadoff hitter. It's unlikely he'll return to Oakland, as GM Billy Beane is limited due to uncertainty over the team's stadium situation. Crisp, 33, batted .264/.314/.379 with eight homers, 54 RBI, 49 stolen bases and a .693 OPS this season.

Coco Crisp was 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base Saturday in a win over the Tigers. Crisp had RBI singles in the second and eighth innings. The impending free agent now has 42 stolen bases on the season, 10 more than his previous career-high from last season. While he'll probably never shake the injury-prone tag, the speedy center fielder still has plenty of value in mixed leagues.
