According to Steve Henson of Yahoo! Sports, the Cardinals are in discussions to sign free agent outfielder Coco Crisp. If signed, Crisp would play center field and bat leadoff while Jon Jay would move over to right field until Allen Craig is ready to return from knee surgery. The Cardinals also have interest in Carlos Beltran, but Crisp would certainly be the cheaper option. The 33-year-old batted .264/.314/.379 with eight homers, 54 RBI, 49 stolen bases and a .693 OPS this past season with Oakland.
