Clayton Richard pitched a solid game in Friday's victory over the Rockies, allowing three runs on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings. He walked two and struck out two on the night. He cruised through the first five innings, allowing just one run, but served up a pair of solo homers to Jordan Pacheco and Wilin Rosario in the sixth. Clayton Richard held the Giants to just one unearned run on five hits in eight innings Sunday, improving to 10-12 in San Diego's 7-1 victory. Richard struck out one and walked none in his fourth eight-inning outing of the year. The quality afternoon was his third in four August starts. Now the owner of a 3.73 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 87/35 K/BB ratio, Richard has racked up a ton of innings this season, tossing 176 frames across his 26 starts. He'll get the Diamondbacks in Arizona next weekend.

Clayton Richard was hit hard in a losing effort against the Braves on Tuesday, surrendering five runs on nine hits over 6 1/3 innings. Richard struck out one without walking a batter in the game. He allowed single runs in the first, fifth and sixth innings, including a solo homer by Dan Uggla. He was removed with two men on in the seventh inning, and both inherited runners rode home on a three-run shot by Martin Prado. Richard continues to struggle on the road, and shouldn't be started in any fantasy formats when he's away from the friendly confines of PetCo Park. Luckily, that's where he'll be this weekend when he does battle against the Giants on Sunday.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Padres would consider moving left-hander Clayton Richard. Richard is under team control through 2014, so the Padres don't have a great sense of urgency to make a deal. The 28-year-old southpaw has a 3.64 ERA and 66/28 K/BB ratio in 113 2/3 innings this season, including a 1.70 ERA over his last five starts.

Clayton Richard hurled seven innings of one-run ball Tuesday against the Mariners. He easily outdueled the scuffling Felix Hernandez at Safeco Field. Richard gave up eight hits and a walk, striking out three. He has been terrific at Petco this season and mediocre on the road, so this performance was nice to see, though it was obviously a favorable matchup. The southpaw improves to only 3-7, though he has a decent 4.30 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.

Clayton Richard was knocked around by the Giants Wednesday, surrendering six runs -- four earned -- on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings. He didn't walk anyone but struck out just one. Richard has been terrific at Petco this season, and this shaped up as a juicy matchup for him, but he didn't have it from the get-go, giving up a three-spot in the first. He'll take a 4.58 ERA and 1.32 WHIP into a favorable matchup next week in Seattle.

Clayton Richard was denied a win after limiting the Diamondbacks to one run in 6 2/3 innings on Friday night. Richard has had five starts in which he's pitched at least six innings and allowed two runs, but he's stuck on just two victories for the season. The Padres did end up pulling tonight's game out, but they saved most of their scoring for the bottom of the eighth.
