Clayton Richard allowed just one run on seven hits over eight innings in Sunday's win against the Diamondbacks. Richard was pitching on six days rest after he was scratched from his start on Saturday. It was a solid bounce back effort, but he only had one strikeout and still has a 7.01 ERA over 53 innings this season.

"He feels good about where he is right now, how his arm feels and how he feels physically in general, from the whole bad virus he contracted," manager Bud Black said. Assuming Richard feels fine in his next outing, he could rejoin the rotation as soon as next weekend.
