Narveson signed a minor league contract with the Marlins that includes an invite to spring training.
Narveson will return to the States after spending 2014 in Japan, posting a 4.53 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 6.3 K/9 over 137 innings with Yakult. The 32-year-old has held opposing lefties to a .231/.320/.342 batting line for his career and will get to compete for a specialist role in spring training.

Chris Narveson has signed with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of Japan's Central League.

Chris Narveson has elected free agency.
Not unexpected, as Narveson was a logical non-tender candidate this offseason. The 31-year-old southpaw was limited to just two appearances with the Brewers this season due to shoulder issues.

Chris Narveson's season is likely over due to a nerve issue near his throwing shoulder.
Narveson missed most of last season after undergoing surgery for a torn labrum and rotator cuff. The left-hander is arbitration-eligible for a second time this winter but is a non-tender candidate.

Chris Narveson is expected to be called up to start on Wednesday in place of the injured Tom Gorzelanny (elbow).
Gorzelanny had to leave his last outing after being struck on the pitching elbow by a line drive. He hasn't been placed on the DL at this point, but the Brewers will need someone to fill in for him Wednesday, and it appears that Narveson is the choice. Narveson has pitched better at Triple-A Nashville of late, tossing seven shutout innings in his last outing. He'll need to be added to the 40-man roster.

Brewers activated LHP Chris Narveson from the 15-day disabled list, sent him outright to Triple-A Nashville.
Narveson would be in the Brewers' rotation by now if he was pitching better, but he's put up a 7.00 ERA over five rehab starts with Nashville. He still seems likely to get a chance eventually, but he obviously needs to pick it up.

Chris Narveson (finger) could make another rehab start after being knocked around for five runs -- three earned -- while walking five over 4 2/3 frames his last time out.
The left-hander has yet to pitch five innings during any of his four rehab outings and has allowed 14 runs -- 12 earned -- over his last 11 innings. The Brewers need a starter for the upcoming week, but it appears that it will not be Narveson.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke is unsure what role Chris Narveson (finger) will fill when he's activated from the disabled list.
"We're going to have to look at it when the time comes," Roenicke said. Narveson is being stretched out as a starter and will make one more start before the Brewers decide what to do with him. It would be a surprise if he's not added to the rotation next week.

Chris Narverson (finger) made his first rehab appearance Thursday with Triple-A Nashville.
He gave up one hit over two scoreless innings and was removed after 22 pitches. It was the first of four rehab starts Narverson will need before he rejoins the Brewers. He remains on track for a mid-June return.

Chris Narveson (finger) is tentatively scheduled to make four rehab starts.
His first will come on Thursday at Triple-A Nashville. Narveson will be stretched out to around the 75-80 pitch mark before the Brewers consider adding him to the rotation. He's been limited to two appearances this season due to a sprained middle finger.
