Narveson received an invite to the Marlins' major league spring training, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran left-hander made 15 appearances with the Marlins last season, including two starts, and finished the year with a 4.45 ERA over 30.1 innings of work. With very few lefties slotted to make the Marlins' bullpen come opening day, Narveson figures to be given a shot to compete for a left-handed specialist role this spring.

Narveson was outrighted to Triple-A New Orleans on Monday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move was procedural in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster. Narveson's debut with the Marlins was pushed back to August after suffering a left elbow sprain in spring training, but in 15 appearances, he managed a 4.45 ERA, 1.088 WHIP, and 32:9 K:BB in 30.1 innings.

Narveson (finger) tossed two innings out of the bullpen Tuesday against Philadelphia, allowing a run on two hits and a walk while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The appearance was Narveson's second since returning from a blister injury which cost him close to two weeks. Four of the six outs Narveson recorded Tuesday were via strikeout, but he also served up a solo homer to Darin Ruf, the seventh home run Narveson has allowed in just 25.1 innings with the big club this season. Look for the lefty to continue pitching out of the bullpen the rest of the way.

Narveson (blister) may be replaced in the rotation by Jarred Cosart on Sunday against the Mets, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Narveson tossed 5.1 scoreless innings against the Braves on Monday in his second start of the season, but he also suffered a blister on his left middle finger during the game. Even if the blister doesn't hold him back, there's no guarantee he sticks in the rotation.

Narveson (2-1) blanked the Braves over 5.1 innings on Monday while surrendering two hits and two walks in a 4-0 victory. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Narveson performed admirably in his second start of the season after six relief appearances. The southpaw was shelled in his previous trip to the mound on Aug. 26, when he was chased by the Pirates in the fourth inning after surrendering eight hits and seven earned runs. Monday's performance marked only the second start for Narveson since April 2012, and was cut short by a blister that Narveson suffered on his left middle finger. It remains to be seen if the injury will prevent the veteran from taking his next scheduled turn in the rotation.

Narveson was forced to leave Monday's start against the Braves after 5.1 innings due to a blister on the left middle finger, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'd held the Braves scoreless on two hits and two walks while striking out three, putting him in line for the win when he departed. Narveson had struggled last week in his first MLB start since 2012, so this comes at a bad time as he tries to establish himself as a member of the Miami rotation for the duration of the year.

Narveson (1-1) was blown up for seven runs on eight hits and three walks over just 3.2 innings in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
After returning from a year out of Major League Baseball to put together fairly competent work over six relief appearances with the Marlins, Narveson got a chance to make a start, but if this game was any indication, he's not likely to get another one.

Narveson (elbow) has allowed four earned runs over his first two starts with High-A Jupiter as he returns from a sprained elbow.
The 30-year-old hurler was injured back in March, but is beginning to make progress back to the field. He's being used as a starter in the minors currently, but is more likely to fill a bullpen role in Miami if he's able to get back to the majors.

Narveson has a left elbow sprain and will not throw for about a week, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Narveson was recently reassigned to the Marlins' minor league camp, and he'll now be held out of throwing work for at least a week while the team monitors his elbow. The 30-year-old will begin the year with Triple-A New Orleans in an attempt to work his way back to the major league level.

Narveson was reassigned to the Marlins' minor-league camp Wednesday, Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Narveson spent the past season with the Yakult Swallows of Japan, posting a 4.53 ERA over 137 innings. He's typically served as a starter during his previous time in affiliated ball with the Brewers organization, but his easiest path back to the majors might be as a left-handed reliever. Look for the 30-year-old to see duty in that capacity at Triple-A New Orleans to begin the season.
