He hit one out in his first at-bat of the spring, but hasn't had an extra-base hit since. Of course, spring stats don't really matter, and Davis still has a couple weeks to work out the kinks in his swing before the games start to count. Davis, who signed a seven-year, $161 million deal in the offseason, is expected to be the everyday first baseman even with the additions of Mark Trumbo and Pedro Alvarez.

There is a very real, and possibly even inevitable, chance that this deal eventually sours, considering Davis' high strikeout rates and defense that is questionable even at first base.
