Davis will bat fifth as the designated hitter in Tuesday's game in Tampa Bay, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
After serving the final game of his suspension on Opening Day, Davis will make his season debut against Rays right-hander Nate Karns, who has just five big-league starts to his name. Davis had a mediocre spring in the wake of his disappointing 2014 campaign, slashing .250/.313/.450 over 60 at-bats. He's been durable over the past few seasons, and he was approved for an exemption to take Adderall again.

Davis is eligible to return from his suspension for Tuesday's game against the Rays.
Assuming he's in the starting lineup, Davis will have a favorable matchup against Rays right-hander Nate Karns. Coming off a miserable 2014, the lefty slugger slashed .250/.313/.450 in the Grapefruit League, with three home runs and 20 strikeouts in 60 at-bats.

Davis went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts Wednesday, lowering his spring line to .226/.300/.434 with a 5:17 BB:K.
He's swatted three homers and driven in 12 runs over 18 games, so the power is still present, but that he's fanned in nearly one-third of his at-bats while facing Grapefruit League pitching is somewhat concerning. Davis will miss Opening Day due to suspension, but he'll be back in the mix for the O's second game of these season as he looks to bounce back from a dismal 2014 campaign.

Davis is 5-for-23 with two home runs, nine RBIs and seven strikeouts through Monday's spring training games.
Yep, those are Chris Davis-like numbers. Davis homered and doubled Monday, with both hits coming off Cole Hamels. Davis will sit the first game of the season, then join the Orioles for the team's second game.

Davis (suspension) could see time at third base or in the outfield this season, MLB.com's Britt Ghiroli reports.
Davis has played all three positions in his 3.5 seasons with the Orioles. He has made 20 errors in 531 games at first base, 17 errors in 91 games at third base and two errors in 41 games in the outfield in his career. Davis is certainly only a backup option for Manny Machado at third base. He has developed a good reputation as a fielder at first base and it seems he is more established than Steve Pearce and would command his dominant fielding position at first base. Nonetheless, Davis may have the opportunity to gather fielding time at three different positions this season.

Davis (suspension) agreed to a one-year, $12 million contract with the Orioles on Friday to avoid arbitration, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
Davis missed the entirety of the 2014 postseason due to a suspension for amphetamines, but will be back on the roster near the beginning of the season. The 28-year-old struggled mightily in 2014, finishing the season with a .196/.300/.404 batting line with 72 RBI and 26 home runs. While 53 home runs may be an unrealistic total for 2015, 30 home runs could be considered a floor if he can manage to stay healthy.

Davis (suspension) has received a medical exemption to use Adderral during the 2015 season, MASN Sports reports.
Davis still has one game left on his suspension, so he will miss Opening Day next spring. He has paid a hefty price, being sent to instructional league ball during the September suspension. The good news is that this will not be a bother to Davis moving forward.

Davis (suspension) could be added to the Orioles' ALCS roster, should the team advance past the divisional round, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Davis, who remains suspended for his use of amphetamines, would be eligible to return for the Orioles' ninth postseason game. Obviously, that rules him out of the entire ALDS, but he could join Baltimore for a potential ALCS matchup if a roster spot is kept open.

Davis (suspension) will report to Sarasota for extended spring training Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Davis won't be eligible to participate with the Orioles until part way into the postseason, but he will get some work in some simulated minor league games with instruction before returning.

Davis (suspension) will report to Sarasota in the near future to work out while under suspension, Rich Dubroff of CSN reports.
Davis will report to the club's instructional league team to receive some at-bats while away from the Orioles. It looks like a smart move, considering he was hitting just .196 on the season - nearly 100 percentage points lower than his 2013 average. Facing a 25-game ban, Davis is suspended for the rest of the regular season, in addition to the first eight games of the playoffs, should the Orioles progress that far.
