Davis (oblique) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The results of Davis' MRI results have not been disclosed yet, but given the fact that he's been diagnosed with a strained oblique certainly does not bode well for him. Trey Mancini will pick up a start at first base in his place, which could become the norm while Davis is sidelined.

Davis (oblique) will undergo an MRI on Tuesday, but manager Buck Showalter suggested it isn't looking good, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis didn't want to talk about the oblique injury, which is definitely not a good sign. The initial diagnosis right now is a strained oblique. The MRI will determine the severity, and Davis could miss multiple months if it proves to be a high grade strain.

Davis left Monday's game with a right oblique strain, Rick Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis went 0-for-2 prior to exiting the game. The severity of the strain is uncertain, and thus the 31-year-old should be considered day-to-day for the time being, but this is the type of injury that typically threatens to push a player to the DL. Trey Mancini would presumably see the bulk of the work at first base in Davis' absence.

Davis is playing third base Thursday against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Manny Machado (wrist) sitting out and the game being played in a national league park, Davis will man the hot corner for the first time since 2014. This likely will only occur while the Orioles are in Washington for the night given that the team will head back to an American League park Friday, but in leagues with extra lenient positional eligibility rules, this could bolster the slugger's already solid value.

Davis went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs in Tuesday's win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is riding a modest seven-game hitting streak, amassing three bombs, seven RBI and five runs in the process. The slugger's strikeouts continue to be an issue, though, as he went down swinging again on Tuesday. Davis' 88 punch outs are most in MLB.

Davis went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Thursday's win against Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Davis' second home run in as many games pushed his total to 12 on the season, putting him on pace to challenge 40 home runs. Unfortunately, his blasts haven't resulted in many RBI thus far. He's got just 22 RBI, putting him at risk of failing to reach 70 RBI for the first time since becoming a full-time Oriole in 2012.

Davis went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Davis had been in a mighty slump over the last 11 games, going just 4-for-44 (.091) with a single homer, a single walk and 25 strikeouts. Of course, that's the downside you have to expect from him; whenever a guy swings and misses as much as Davis does, streaks and slumps are all part of the package. His owners can only hope that Davis can go on a power binge now that he's broken though.

Davis went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Sunday's 8-4 loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
You have to take the good with the bad when it comes to the all-or-nothing power bat of Davis. The hitless night drops the slugger's average to .228 on the season, but he does have 10 homers in 196 plate appearances. His career-high 37.8 strikeout percentage isn't doing his owners any favors besides his homer output, and he also has a disappointing 18 RBI. Davis' power is a constant, but nothing else is a guarantee with him.

Davis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Wednesday's loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Following a 1-for-20 run at the dish over his previous five games, the blast was welcomed by fantasy owners. Davis has been up and down all season, and he currently sports .239/.348/.477 slash line for the year while continuing to move the needle in the home runs, RBI and runs columns.

Davis went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk during Thursday's loss to Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
The first baseman entered Thursday's game with an .857 slugging percentage through his past 10 outings and is now up to nine homers, 17 RBI and 23 runs with a .267/.384/.527 slash line for the campaign. With Davis' slow start in the rearview mirror, the proven slugger appears back on track to post big power numbers going forward. Just don't be surprised if there are more offensive highs and lows over the coming months.
