Davis went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two RBI, two runs and three walks in Sunday's 9-8 loss in Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging first baseman went yard for the second straight day, bumping his season's total to six. Davis tallied just three home runs and five RBI over 80 at-bats last month. He now has three home runs and six RBI through 39 at-bats in May. Oddly, his contact rate is noticeably lower than last season, but his batting average and OBP are significantly higher. Even so, owners did not buy into Davis for anything but his power output, so seeing pop over the weekend gives his owners reason to smile.

Davis is out of the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Trey Mancini will take over at first base in place of Davis with the Orioles facing hard-throwing lefty Danny Duffy. Davis has been competent against left-handed pitching to start the year, hitting .267 over 42 at-bats, but Mancini has had more power success against southpaws with two home runs and six RBI. Look for Davis to rejoin the lineup Saturday when the Orioles face right-hander Nathan Karns.

Davis went 3-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs in Friday's 4-2 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Davis crushed his fourth bomb of the campaign off Miguel Gonzalez in the third inning of an Orioles victory. The slugger snapped an 18-game homerless drought, but he'll certainly go on a tear at some point, and provide fantasy owners the power they expected when drafting him.

Davis (elbow) is playing first base and batting fifth Monday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is good to go after missing Sunday's contest with a sore elbow. The 31-year-old is slashing .238/.337/.413 with three homers and five RBI through 22 games so far this season.

Davis was scratched from the Orioles lineup Sunday against the Yankees with a sore right elbow, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles initially expected Davis to play Sunday after he was struck on the elbow by a pitch in Saturday's game, but after further evaluation, it was determined the first baseman would require his first day off of the season. With Davis out of the lineup, Trey Mancini will cover first base while batting sixth in the order, while Craig Gentry will enter the lineup in right field and hit eighth.

Davis went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, one double, a walk and scored twice in Saturday's win in Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
A night after going hitless for the first time this season, Davis got back on track with a big performance Friday. Through the campaign's first nine contests, Davis is crushing the ball to the tune of .364/.432/.727 with three home runs. His 42 percent strikeout rate leaves much to be desired, but the slugger's swing and miss tendency is a well-known part of the package that his owners should get used to.

Davis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
His first blast of the season was also his 200th as an Oriole. Davis has hit at least 26 home runs in five straight seasons, and there's no reason to think that streak will end in 2017.

Davis (illness) will start at first base and bat fifth in the order in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Rays, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis had been battling bronchitis and failed to play in any of the last three games, but his reentry into the lineup suggests he's feeling healthy again. As he enters his age-31 season, Davis remains one of the game's premier power hitters, but he'll need to show some improvement in batting average (.221 mark in 2016) and RBI (84) if he's to reemerge as a top-flight fantasy first baseman.

Davis has made little progress in his recovery from bronchitis, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
More information regarding Davis' condition will likely be available in the coming days, as he's scheduled to be reevaluated Monday. At that point, a more definitive timeframe for his eventual return should become clear.

Davis is still dealing with bronchitis, Rich Dubroff of the Press Box reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Davis has been taking a medication to deal with his illness, there's yet to be news as to when he'll return to action. Until Davis is back in the lineup, look for Trey Mancini and Mark Trumbo to split time at first base.
