He'll still have some value hitting in a potent Yankees' lineup, but in shallower fantasy leagues there are probably better options available at third base.

Headley smashed his seventh home run -- and the 100th of his career -- as part of a 2-for-5 night in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies. Headley is currently riding a six-game hitting streak, having scored once in every game in that span as well. His numbers on the whole are a down from his average production, as he owns a slash line of just .256/.304/.376, but the third baseman has been showing signs of turning it around of late.

Headley is out of the lineup Sunday agains the Tigers. Headley hasn't received a day off since May 13, so the timing was likely right for a regular maintenance day, despite logging a multi-hit game in two of the last three contests. Brendan Ryan will take over at the hot corner, while Didi Gregorius bats second in the order.

He remained in the game at the time, but was replaced in the fifth inning by Brendan Ryan. There was no indication that he suffered an injury that could cost him some time, but daily league players may want to check his status for Saturday's game.

Headley went 3-for-4 with a homer run and three RBI in Monday's 14-1 win over Kansas City. The homer, Headley's sixth of the season, was one of three the Yankees hit off Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie in the first inning. Headley was batting out of the two-hole for the second straight day, and he may continue to see regular time there while Jacoby Ellsbury (knee) is sidelined.
