Headley is not in the lineup Tuesday, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Headley has gotten off to a horrendous start to the season, batting a mere .157 in 51 at-bats, so he'll get the day off Tuesday. Ronnie Torreyes will man the hot corner in his stead.

Headley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Headley is stuck in a 1-for-11 swoon over the last four games, which has dropped his season average to .154. The veteran still seems to have a firm grip on the starting job at third base, but he'll get Sunday off to take a mental break from the grind. Ronald Torreyes will bat ninth and take over duties at the hot corner for the day.

Headley will bat ninth against the Blue Jays on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Friday's start marks Headley's first in the nine-hole in 10 major league seasons. The 31-year-old Headley has started poorly, going 3-for-20 (all singles) with five strikeouts, and he was passed over for a start last week in favor of Ronald Torreyes.

Headley reached base three times Tuesday, going 2-for-3 with a walk in the win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The second hit started a seventh inning rally in which Headley ultimately came around to score the game-winning run. The third baseman has gotten off to a slow start at the plate though, as even after the multi-hit game, he's hitting just .200 and is still looking for his first extra-base hit.

Headley is out of the lineup Saturday but manager Joe Girardi announced that it's routine day off for the veteran third baseman.
EDGE Analysis
Headley had started every game at third base to this point in the season, but he'll be replaced at the hot corner Saturday by Ronnie Torreyes. Given that Girardi said that this is just a regular rest day for Headley, he should be expected to draw back into the order for Sunday's series finale with the Tigers. Headley has struggled at the dish to start the year, going 1-for-12 with four strikeouts through four games.

Headley (illness) is in the lineup Tuesday, batting seventh as New York's third baseman.
EDGE Analysis
An illness over the weekend put Headley's status in some doubt heading into Opening Day, but the veteran said Monday that he would have been able to take the field had the Yankees' matchup against the Astros not been postponed. He'll draw into the lineup against Dallas Keuchel on Tuesday, batting in the bottom third of the order.

Headley (illness) is feeling better and would have played Monday had the Yankees' season opener not been postponed, MLB.com's Brian Hoch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Headley missed a couple exhibition games last week due to his illness, but it appears he will be good to go for the season opener. While that will not come Monday as originally scheduled due to rain, expect him to be in the lineup when the Yankees take the field Tuesday.

Headley (illness) is out of the lineup again Saturday, Anthony Rieber of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Headley being scratched for the second day in a row due to illness this close to Opening Day, his status may be trending towards questionable heading into Monday's game against the Astros. Ronnie Torreyes, who started at third base Friday and Saturday, would be the likeliest option to take over at the hot corner if Headley is still sick and unable to play Monday.

Headley (illness) was scratched from the lineup Friday, Ryan Hatch of The Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's very little information on the nature of Headley's illness or when it came about, but he was a late scratch Friday and will not play. Ronnie Torreyes replaced Headley in the order for Friday's matchup against Jose Fernandez and the Marlins. Still, there's no indication at this point that Headley is in danger of missing Opening day.

Headley currently has more strikeouts than hits, batting 4-19, with six strikeouts through seven games in spring training.
EDGE Analysis
The third baseman likely won't perform like he did in his prime in 2012, but it's hard to see him being much different than he was last year, a .259 average with 11 home runs and 62 RBI.
