Headley is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Angels, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Headley had drawn the start in nine consecutive contests, hitting .235 over that span, so it looks to be just a regular day off. Ronnie Torreyes will take over at third base and bat ninth Wednesday in his stead.

Headley went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts during Wednesday's loss against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Headley left three men on base, and his average dropped to a dismal .230 after another poor performance. Even though Headley managed to hit .298 during May, he's looked lost at the plate for the majority of the season, and he only hit .150 in April. A reasonable expectation for him would be to hit somewhere between those two averages.

Headley is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following an awful April, Headley has gotten his act together in May, batting .303 with three homers and nine RBI over 76 at-bats. His hot streak has solidified his spot in the Yankees' regular lineup, but manager Joe Girardi will give the veteran a day of rest for the series finale. Ronnie Torreyes will make the start at the hot corner in Headley's place.

Headley went 3-for-3 in Saturday's loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
All three hits were singles, but Headley also reached base a fourth time via a walk. After early season struggles, the third baseman is hitting .274 in May to raise his season average to .235.

Headley went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, two runs and a walk Wednesday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Headley has hit a mere .219 this season, but he's hit safely in four of the last six games. The 32-year-old switch hitter seems to be improving at the plate of late, but it continues to be a disappointing season so far for the veteran.

Headley is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Ronnie Torreyes will take over at third base against right-hander Sonny Gray, pushing Headley to the bench after four straight starts. The overall numbers are still ugly for Headley, but after back-to-back two-hit games, he is now batting .291/.339/.436 for the month of May. He's hit safely in nine of his last 11 games.

Headley will bat fifth in the lineup against Arizona on Monday, Jack Magruder of FOX Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Headley had only been used as a pinch hitter over the past two days, but he'll take over at third for Ronnie Torreyes on Monday while facing lefty Robbie Ray. The 32-year-old is batting .200 this season and just .149 against left-handers.

Headley is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Headley has gotten his first two homers of the season in the last three games, but since he's started eight days in a row, manager Joe Girardi will give the third baseman the afternoon off. The little-used Ronnie Torreyes will replace Headley at the hot corner and bat ninth in the order.

Headley was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a losing effort against the White Sox on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
It was Headley's second home run in as many days. Unfortunately, it was also only his second extra-base hit on the season. Batting a hollow .196, the Yankees have to hope he's ready to snap out of his early season funk.

Headley is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Orioles, Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has three hits in his last six starts, which actually increased his batting average from .148 to .153, illustrating just how bad he has been to start the year. There are certain formats where Headley needs to be rostered in case he turns things around, as he would be set for regular at-bats in a favorable park, but in standard leagues he's made it pretty easy for owners to cut bait in the first month of the season. Ronnie Torreyes will start at third base and hit ninth Thursday.
