Anderson (5-10) tossed five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five Diamondbacks in Monday's win against his former team.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson pitched deeper into Monday's game than he had in any of his previous five starts. He allowed fewer than two walks and won a game for the first time since June 8 against Oakland. The win is bitter sweet for Anderson, who went 15-13 in 48 starts the past two seasons for Arizona. It's always nice to beat the team that traded you, yet the 28-year-old righty is having the worst season of his short three-year career. He'll take a 5.40 ERA and 1.45 WHIP into his next start Saturday against the Pirates.

Anderson gave up three runs on six hits and two walks while pitching just four innings Wednesday against Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers piled up eight runs in the first five innings of this game, so all Anderson had to do was last long enough to get the win, but he couldn't do it. In fact, the righty has failed to complete five frames in five consecutive starts and has a truly terrible 12:15 K:BB in that span. Unfortunately for the Brewers, they have precious few options to replace him in the rotation, so they're likely to keep rolling Anderson out, which should draw the attention of DFS players.

Anderson (4-10) allowed two runs on four hits and five walks while striking out five over four innings to take the loss Saturday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson struggled with control, and was lifted after four innings while the Brewers' offense was only able to provide a single run of support, leading to Anderson's 10th loss of the year. He's now failed to fire a quality start in any of his last four outings, and his ERA is at 5.44 on the season. He'll make his next start after the All-Star break.

Anderson (4-9) allowed three runs on four hits and five walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings to take the loss Sunday at the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was extremely wild, walking more than a hitter per inning, and was fortunate to hold the Cards to only three runs. He's now allowed 19 earned runs in his last 15.2 innings over four starts to move his ERA to 5.49 on the year. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Cardinals.

Anderson (4-8) was touched up for six runs (five earned) on eight hits over four innings Tuesday against the Dodgers. He walked two and didn't record a strikeout in the loss.
EDGE Analysis
So much for the extra rest (eight days), as the Dodgers torched the 28-year-old for a second straight time. Although Tuesday wasn't as bad as the first, it still wasn't pleasant. Anderson failed to record a strikeout for the first time in his MLB career while giving up four-plus runs for the seventh time this season. The right-hander's ERA has been on the rise for nearly a month and it ballooned to 5.45 after this latest performance. Anderson will look to rebound and finish the first half on a high note Sunday against the Cardinals.

Anderson will skip his expected start Saturday in order to get some rest, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers planned to allow Anderson to get time off by skipping his next start, in order to get rest around the All-Star break. He is coming off one of his poorer outings of the 2016 season, allowing seven runs while not even getting out of the third inning in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers. Milwaukee could start Matt Garza in Anderson's place Sunday since he would be throwing on normal rest, and then move Jimmy Nelson to Sunday's contest. They could also dip into Triple-A Colorado Springs and start Hiram Burgos in Anderson's spot.

Anderson (4-7) was destroyed in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers. He lasted just 2.1 innings, allowing seven runs on six hits while walking three and striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old dished out his worst performance of the year in the 10-6 slugfest. Saturday's five-out performance was his shortest since September 8 of last year against the Giants. Anderson had worked hard in May to push his ERA under five, but that went to waste against the Dodgers. His ERA ballooned from 4.42 to 5.13 while labored through 73 pitches and issued the most walks he had since April 30. Anderson will look to rebound when he takes the hill in his next start on Saturday against the Nationals.

Anderson allowed four runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in a no-decision Monday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was a bit wild, as he managed just 10 first-pitch strikes to 21 hitters and received just 12 called strikes in 95 pitches. He also gave up his 14th home run in just 13 starts. While he has been better of late -- Anderson had a 2.43 ERA and 29:4 K:BB in his previous six starts -- the home run ball continues to be a huge blight on his game and one he'll have to get over to improve his 4.42 ERA.

Anderson (4-6) shut out Oakland over 6.2 innings Wednesday, giving up just two hits while striking out four in a 4-0 win.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old righty opened his season with a five-inning scoreless outing, but hadn't managed to replicate that feat over the 10 starts between that and Wednesday's start. That said, he's been a surprisingly reliable presence on the mound lately -- over his last six starts, Anderson has limited the opposition to only 10 runs in 37 innings (2.43 ERA) while putting up a shining 29:4 K:BB. That said, he pitches for a sub-.500 Brewers squad, he gives up way too many homers (because he lets hitters put the ball in the air too much), and his season ERA is still over the 4.00 mark, so unless you're a pitching-desperate NL-only owner, he's still waiver-wire material.

Anderson (3-6) allowed only one run on three hits over the course of 5.2 innings during Thursday's win against the Phillies. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Even though Anderson pitched quite well, he was removed early since he was approaching 100 pitches during the fifth inning. Anderson lowered his ERA to 4.68, and he's allowed less than three runs in three of his last four outings. He will look to keep it going in his next start aganist Oakland on Wednesday.
