Rockies manager Walt Weiss said Saturday that Carlos Gonzalez will likely have to deal with his sprained right middle finger for the rest of the season. CarGo sat out a second straight game Saturday due to the injury, though Weiss said the outfielder has felt improvement. It sounds like it will be something Gonzalez plays through rather than try to let it heal with a trip to the disabled list.

Carlos Gonzalez (finger) is not in the Rockies' starting lineup for Friday's matchup against the Brewers. Gonzalez was removed from Thursday's contest after he aggravated his sprained right middle finger during a swing in the first inning. It doesn't appear to be the type of injury that will require a trip to the disabled list, so continue to consider him day-to-day.

Carlos Gonzalez was removed from Thursday's game against the Marlins in the fourth inning for a pinch-hitter. No word on why he was pulled from the game, but Troy Renck of the Denver Post notes that he has been dealing with a finger issue recently. He struck out in his only at-bat of the ballgame.

Carlos Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's defeat to the Dodgers. CarGo withdrew from the Home Run Derby earlier in the day Thursday citing a recent finger injury, but he had no problem squaring up Brandon League for a long drive to right field in the top of the ninth inning. The 27-year-old outfielder currently leads the National League with 25 homers.

Carlos Gonzalez (finger) is not in the Rockies' lineup Tuesday. It's the second straight start he's missed due to a sprained right middle finger. The Rockies have given no indication to this point that a DL stint may be in the offing for CarGo, but obviously he'll need to show improvement soon. Tyler Colvin is starting in left field Tuesday.
