Carlos Gonzalez (finger) expects to return to the Rockies' starting lineup on Sunday. Gonzalez has been out since Wednesday because of lingering inflammation in his left index finger. He told reporters Saturday that he's feeling better but not completely healed, so more off days may be coming.

Carlos Gonzalez (finger) remains out of the Rockies starting lineup on Saturday. Gonzalez left Wednesday's game with inflammation in his left index finger and has yet to return to game action. If he doesn't improve soon, he could be facing a trip to the disabled list.

Carlos Gonzalez (finger) is not in the Rockies' starting lineup Thursday versus the Giants. CarGo made an early exit Wednesday night with lingering inflammation in his left index finger. He could barely even grip a bat and may be out for an extended period. The star outfielder has been dealing with this finger injury for much of the 2014 regular season. Corey Dickerson is starting in left field on Thursday afternoon.

Carlos Gonzalez left Wednesday's game against the Giants with left index finger inflammation. Gonzalez didn't come out to start the eighth inning, as Brandon Barnes took his spot in left field. CarGo was 0-for-2 with a walk before exiting. The team is calling the injury day-to-day.

Carlos Gonzalez acknowledged Sunday that he's still dealing with tendinitis in his left knee. Gonzalez went 2-for-4 in the Rockies' win over the Padres on Sunday but had his knee wrapped in the clubhouse afterward. "I feel a little better; still fighting with that knee," CarGo said. "I think it's showing in stolen bases. It's kind of slowed down a lot. But I continue to get treatment every day, and hopefully it gets better and I can bring that speed back to the club." He has seven homers and 29 RBI on the year but just two steals.

Carlos Gonzalez homered and doubled Wednesday in the Rockies' 9-2 drubbing of the Rangers. Gonzalez is 9-for-15 with five extra-base hits and five RBI against the Rangers the last three days... and that still probably doesn't make him the hottest hitter on the team. He's up to seven homers and 25 RBI for the season now. Like Troy Tulowitzki, he can put up MVP numbers if he stays healthy.

Carlos Gonzalez (finger) is shooting to return to the Rockies' lineup Saturday. CarGo is sitting out Friday, one day after leaving with a left index finger contusion. However, he's confident that he'll only need to miss one start. The outfielder has started to heat up with four hits -- including two homers -- over the last three games.

Carlos Gonzalez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run before exiting Thursday's win over the Mets in the fourth inning. Gonzalez took Bartolo Colon deep in the first inning to give the Rockies an early 1-0 lead. He would depart shortly thereafter with a left index finger contusion, but it is not considered a serious problem. Despite his six home runs, Gonzalez has been slow to get things going at the plate, slashing .245/.297/.482 at the completion of Thursday's action.

Carlos Gonzalez is listed as day-to-day with a left index finger contusion. It's not clear when Gonzalez suffered the injury, but it doesn't appear to be a big deal. It was CarGo's right middle finger that he had issues with last year. Expect the stud outfielder to return sometime over the weekend.

Carlos Gonzalez left Thursday's game against the Mets in the fourth inning with an apparent injury. It's unclear what ailment CarGo is dealing with, but he was pinch-hit for by Brandon Barnes. The outfielder has been nursing some tendinitis in his left knee recently, so perhaps that's the issue. The Rockies should update Gonzalez's status shortly.
