Gonzalez connected on his 37th homer of the season in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez's seventh-inning blast barely cleared the left-field fence, but he got just enough of the ball to keep pace with teammate Nolan Arenado -- who hit his 38th homer -- for the National League lead. The outfielder has provided 24 of his 37 long balls since the All-Star break.

Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Friday's win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
There was a time where many wondered whether Gonzalez would ever be the same after being stung hard by the injury bug in recent years. Well, he's already set a career-high in home runs and he is not letting up. Since the beginning of last month, Gonzalez has mashed 15 homers, driven in 33 runs and scored 24. He has touched them all five times just in the past three games. Gonzalez has already far exceeded expectations, if he's able to keep rolling through September consider it gravy.

Gonzalez went scorched earth again in Thursday's game against the Giants, clubbing two homers, a double, and a base hit while driving in four and scoring three runs.
EDGE Analysis
That's back-to-back two-homer games for Gonzalez, who now has sole possession of the National League lead in homers with 35, besting his previous career high of 34 that he posted in his memorable 2010 campaign. It's the sixth multi-homer game of the season for Gonzalez, who has had quite the remarkable climb up the league leaderboard after having only four homers on his ledger at the end of May. With Gonzalez's next three games set to come at Coors Field, he should make for an excellent option in daily formats throughout the weekend.

Gonzalez was at it yet again on Wednesday, as he had two home runs and seven RBI in a 9-4 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez is the best hitter in baseball right now and it's hard to fathom just how good he's been as of late. Since the beginning of June, Gonzalez has 29 home runs and 67 RBI. Health has always been the concern for Gonzalez, but when he's right, this is the type of player the Rockies are going to get.

Gonzalez was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a losing effort against the Pirates on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
He now has 31 long ones, and 72 RBI to go with a modest .272 average, but his balky knees remain a concern. He left the Rockies' game on Monday and sat out Tuesday with knee soreness, which could be a factor over the remainder of the season.

Gonzalez (knee) is back in the lineup Wednesday against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old will return to face right-hander Shelby Miller after leaving Monday's game and sitting Tuesday with a bout of knee soreness. Gonzalez's left knee first began acting up last week, and while he will be afforded another day of rest with the team off Thursday, it's always possible the issue could require additional maintenance if there's any lingering soreness in the days and weeks ahead.

Gonzalez was the driving force in Saturday's victory over the Braves, supplying a two-run homer in the first inning before ending the game with a walk-off bloop RBI single.
Gonzalez's home run traveled 438 feet to dead center to give the Rockies an early lead and the outfielder his 13th homer of the season. The former All-Star has been the Rockies' most productive hitter of late, going 12-for-21 (.571 average) with three homers and seven RBI over his last six contests.

Gonzalez doubled a career-high three times while scoring and driving in a run in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Braves.
Gonzalez appears locked in at the plate right now, as he's submitted three-hit showings in three of his last four starts, with five of those knocks going for extra bases. Don't let the outfielder's .254/.310/.435 season line fool you; when healthy, Gonzalez has proven he's capable of far more. With no known injury concerns lurking in the background at the moment, Gonzalez makes for a strong acquisition target for fantasy owners in the second half.
