Phillips (foot) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Phillips will miss his second consecutive game with a foot injury. The 35-year-old is having an okay season, hitting .256/.295/.420 with six home runs and 23 RBI through 47 games. Ivan De Jesus will get the start in his place.

Phillips was a late scratch Tuesday with a sore left foot, the Cincinnati Enquirer's C. Trent Rosecrans reports.
EDGE Analysis
He left Monday's game with a sore left ankle after banging into a wall, and he apparently still isn't healthy enough to take the field. Jordan Pacheco will get the start at second base and hit seventh Tuesday, and Phillips should be considered day-to-day.

Phillips (ankle) is in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Phillips sustained a minor ankle injury Sunday, which ended up forcing him out of Monday's game after six innings. The veteran is feeling better Tuesday, however, and he'll start at his usual second base spot while batting third against Colorado's Jon Gray.

Phillips left Monday's win over the Rockies with a sore left ankle, the result from banging into a wall Sunday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Phillips felt limited by the sore ankle even though he was able to play six innings. "I didn't want to stay in there and there might be a play that costs us the game, so I just thought it was a good idea," Phillips said. "(Trainer Steve Baumann) brought it to my attention, that's when I thought maybe that's what I'd do."

Phillips banged his knees against the wall separating the field of play from the stands while making a catch early in Sunday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Phillips received attention from the Reds trainers after the play but stayed in the game, at least for now. It wouldn't be a surprise if he left the game later.

Phillips went 2-for-5 with a pair of solo homers Saturday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Phillips' first bomb gave the Reds a four-run lead, and his second came in the 10th inning when the team was behind by seven runs in a game they'd lose. He's now homered in four straight games, giving him six on the year, and raising his OPS to .879.

Phillips went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The fourth-inning, one-out shot off Tyler Cravy extended Phillips' current hitting streak to five games, and he's also now reached base safely in seven straight. An occasional stolen base threat as well, the veteran's diverse skill set makes him a highly appealing option in all season-long formats, as well as in daily leagues.

Phillips went 2-for-3 with a double, a two-run homer and a sacrifice fly against the Brewers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran second baseman's now homered on consecutive days after knocking just one long ball in his first 23 games of the season. Last season's .294 average seemed like something of an outlier -- it was easily his highest mark in the past four seasons -- but Phillips is hitting .293 after this performance. Even though the 34-year-old's best days are behind him, he's still a productive player at second base.

Phillips (hand) is back in the lineup Friday, hitting cleanup in Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
He missed two and a half games after getting hit on the hand by a pitch in Monday's game, but will return to the keystone Friday. Phillips no longer fits into the Reds' long term plans, but he has been a rare bright spot so far this season, hitting .308/.343/.462.

Phillips (hand) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Apparently Phillips still isn't ready to return to action after getting hit in the hand by a pitch Monday. It's unclear how much swelling and soreness he currently has in his hand, but he remains day-to-day for the time being. Ivan De Jesus will take over at second base for Wednesday's game and bat second.
