Colon (illness) has been confirmed as Sunday's starter against the Tigers, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
He exited Tuesday's start after one inning due to an illness, but will be ready to take the ball in the final game of the regular season. Colon has a 5.50 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 43 strikeouts in 73.2 innings since joining the Twins, and those stats are actually an improvement over how he pitched with the Braves earlier this season. He should be avoided in any fantasy format where ratios need to be protected.

Colon exited Tuesday's game against the Indians after one inning with an undisclosed illness, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon was roughed up for two runs on three hits in the first frame before being removed from the game between innings with an illness. It's currently unclear if he'll make another start this season.

Colon (4-6) gave up six runs on seven hits -- including two homers -- over 3.1 innings in a losing effort against the Yankees on Wednesday. He struck out three and issued one walk.
EDGE Analysis
The 44-year-old has now given up 16 earned runs in his last three starts, with a 4:3 K:BB and four homers allowed in that span (11 innings). Colon lines up for two key starts next week (at CLE, vs DET), and if he comes through with strong outings and leads Minnesota to the postseason, he could make the ALDS rotation. Right now, he doesn't even seem deserving of a postseason roster spot.

Colon (6-13) allowed four runs on five hits and two walks over six innings and took the loss Friday night against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Colon was at least able to eat some innings after he lasted just five outs his last time out against the Royals. Unfortunately, though, the Jays got to Colon for a pair of home runs, giving him 25 allowed in as many starts. As good as Colon's control and command remains, his diminishing velocity means he has zero margin for error, and the Jays made him pay Friday night.

Colon (6-12) allowed five runs on six hits over just 1.2 innings during Sunday's loss to Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran entered Sunday's outing with a respectable 3.94 ERA through 10 starts and had kept the Twins in games when toeing the rubber. However, that obviously wasn't the case this time around, and Colon is now up to a 6.41 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 5.7 K/9 for the campaign. Those are underwhelming fantasy marks, and he's probably best viewed as a matchup play in the majority of settings. Colon projects to make his next start against the Blue Jays at Target Field.

Colon (6-11) tossed 6.2 innings of two-run ball while taking the loss Tuesday against the Rays, allowing five hits with one walk and five strikeotus.
EDGE Analysis
Colon, who allowed a solo home run and an RBI double to Lucas Duda, otherwise contained the opposing offense for his third consecutive quality start. He threw 72 percent of his pitches for strikes and induced nine groundball outs, but a gem from Jake Odorizzi on the other end resigned him to his 11th loss of the year. Colon's 6.06 ERA for the season remains unsightly, but he has actually posted a respectable mark of 3.94 since joining Minnesota. He will look to continue his recent success Sunday against the Royals.

Colon allowed three runs on 10 hits while striking out eight batters through six innings during Thursday's win over the White Sox. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran is settling in a little of late with just 11 runs allowed through 30.2 innings over his past five starts. However, with a 6.25 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 5.7 K/9 for the campaign, a blow-up stretch could be right around the corner. Colon should still be viewed as a risky start in most fantasy settings. He projects to make his next start against the Rays at Tropicana Field.

Colon (4-2) allowed one run on nine hits and one walk over 6.2 innings to earn the win Friday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Colon was provided an early three-run lead as he cruised to his fourth victory with the Twins, and the only mistake he made was allowing a solo homer to Justin Smoak. He's allowed either three or four runs in six of his eight starts since joining the Twins, and he's been a reasonable depth option for fantasy managers. He'll make his next start Thursday against the White Sox.

Colon (5-10) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six batters through six innings during Sunday's win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Colon was handed a nine-run lead in the bottom of the first innings, so the veteran was able to put it in cruise control early Sunday. He sports a 4.46 ERA through seven starts since joining the Twins and offers limited fantasy upside moving forward outside of deep settings. Otherwise, it's probably best to only utilize Colon as a streaming option or low-priced flier in daily contests when facing a favorable opponent. After all, he allowed another three home runs Sunday and now owns a discouraging 1.8 HR/9 for the campaign. Colon lines up to face the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field in his next start.

Colon (4-10) took the loss in Tuesday's game against the Indians. He allowed three runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Due to a general lack of command of his pitches, Colon worked himself into a jam in nearly every one of his five innings of work Tuesday. The 44-year-old served up three solo homers, but the overall damage could've been much worse, as Colon was fortunate to wiggle his way out of a bases-loaded no-out dilemma in the second inning. The veteran righty has incredibly allowed seven or more hits in 15 of his last 16 starts and will carry an unsightly 6.70 ERA and 1.65 WHIP into his next start against the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
