Colon (14-12) took the loss Wednesday against Miami, allowing three runs on seven hits and awalk through 5.2 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
This game looked like an unlikely pitchers' duel between Colon and Adam Conley for three innings, but solo homers in the fourth and fifth followed by a sixth-inning rally changed the script. Colon hadn't lost a game since Aug. 9 in Tampa Bay, and he hadn't allowed more than two runs in an outing since his Aug. 21 start in Colorado. He'll have a great opportunity to get back on the right track in his next start, Tuesday against the Braves' league-worst offense.

Colon (14-11) picked up a win Thursday, giving up two earned runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out two over 6.2 innings in a 7-2 victory over the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Colon's scoreless innings streak came to an end at 31, giving up an RBI triple to Jace Peterson in the seventh inning. The 42-year-old has been excellent lately, earning wins in each of his last four starts. Despite the Mets increasing their NL East lead to 7.5 games, Colon looks to be safe from having a start skipped in September.

Colon (13-11) pitched a complete game shutout Saturday, giving up nine hits while walking none and striking out two in a 7-0 victory over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Colon required just 97 pitches to shut the Marlins out. Having extended his scoreless innings streak to 25, Colon has quelled performance and injury concerns by going at least seven innings in four of his last five starts. The veteran right-hander will next take the mound Friday against the Braves.

Colon extended his scoreless inning streak to 16, tossing eight shutout innings Monday to pick up the win in the Mets' 3-1 victory over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Colon defeated the Phillies for the second time in less than a week, allowing four hits and a walk while striking out nine. He is now 12-11 on the season and lowered his ERA to 4.42 for the year.

Colon will be available for an inning out of the bullpen Saturday against the Red Sox, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
The bullpen has been taxed throughout the week, and rather than make a move to add relief help days before rosters expand, the Mets will simply make Colon available. If he does make an appearance out of the bullpen, it will serve as Colon's standard between-starts side session, and thus shouldn't affect his status for his next scheduled start.

Colon (11-11) shut the Phillies out over seven innings Wednesday, giving up five hits and two walks while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
After struggling mightily over his last seven outings, giving up four-plus runs four times, Colon posted his finest outing since back on July 1, and he did it just a day after Philadelphia blew up a much better Mets pitcher in Jacob deGrom. Colon's recent every-other-start struggles don't bode well for him moving forward, but at least he draws these same largely lackluster Phillies in a home matchup Monday.

Colon (forearm) has been confirmed as Wednesday's starter against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
A hit-by-pitch in his last outing left Colon with a nasty welt near his forearm, but X-rays were negative and there was never an indication from the team that his start Wednesday was in serious jeopardy. The 42-year-old right-hander has dropped seven of his last eight decisions, and he's struggled in two starts against Philadelphia so far this season (5.25 ERA, .286 BAA).

Colon tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits, walking one and striking out eight Wednesday against the Cubs.
The Mets' inept offense likely cost Colon a win, as they were shut out for the second straight night. Colon was rolling Wednesday, retiring 14 straight at one point while lowering his ERA to 4.55 with the seven scoreless innings.

Colon allowed four runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out three in six innings in the Mets' 4-1 defeat by the Brewers on Wednesday; the team's seventh loss in a row.
Colon allowed the first four hitters to reach and trailed 2-0 right off the bat. He settled down after that but surrendered a run in the fifth allowing two hits after he failed to beat Ryan Braun to the bag on a groundball to Lucas Duda with two outs and none on in the frame, Colon allowed a home run to Scooter Gennett in the sixth, the 14th longball he has given up in 92 innings after getting tagged for 22 in 202.1 innings last season. After a great first three starts, Colon has really struggled his last 12, surrendering 45 runs in 72 innings.

Colon (9-5) was roughed up for seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and a walk over 4.1 innings Thursday in Toronto.
Well, there are Good Bartolo days and Bad Bartolo days. This was the painfully hittable version of Colon that's been known to show up for stretches of time this year. Of course, inconsistency is to be expected from a 42-year-old who looks more like a coach than a player at this point. One thing you can say for him, though, is that Colon has received a decision in each and every one of his 14 starts this season. He'll make the next one Wednesday against Milwaukee.
