Colon (8-4) gave up three runs (none earned) on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings in Friday's 5-3 victory over the Phillies. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The ageless right-hander was solid in his first second-half start, and had the luxury of being staked to a 4-0 lead entering the bottom of the sixth. A James Loney throwing error that allowed Odubel Herrera to reach safely set off an unfavorable chain of events for Colon in that frame, as Peter Bourjos tripled him home in the next at-bat. Colon subsequently gave up an RBI groundout to Maikel Franco and a run-scoring single to Cody Asche before exiting after 78 pitches. Despite the hiccup, it was a nice bounce-back outing for the 43-year-old after being tagged for 10 hits and six earned runs against the Nationals on July 7. He'll look to keep the positive momentum going in a matchup against the Cubs next Wednesday.

Colon will start the Mets' first game after the All-Star break, Friday against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon will be followed by Logan Verrett, Steven Matz, Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard. The Mets were looking to give Matz, deGrom and Syndergaard some additional rest and accomplish this by starting Colon and Verrett the first two games after the break.

Colon (7-4) allowed six runs on 10 hits while striking out two over 4.2 innings, but received no-decision Thursday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing five of his six runs between the fourth and fifth innings, Colon left the contest with a two-run deficit, but the offense came up with three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take him off the hook for a potential loss. This was the first time he's allowed more than two runs in any of his last nine starts, and despite the poor outing, he still has a 3.28 ERA on the season. He'll make his next start after the All-Star break.

Colon (7-4) allowed two runs on four hits, struck out five and walked three in a 4-3 victory over the Cubs on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
This was the first time Colon walked more than two batters in a start since May 18, but he was able to limit the damage because of just four hits. Colon threw 66 of his 100 pitches for strikes and induced 23 called strikes. The only runs he allowed were off a Kris Bryant homer. His next start will be Thursday versus the Nationals.

Colon said after his start Saturday that he has been dealing with a left leg issue since his June 16 start but it has not inhibited him on the mound, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon allowed two runs on four hits and three walks and five strikeouts in six innings Saturday to up his record to 7-4 on the year. The mild ailment clearly hasn't been a major problem, as Colon has a 1.96 ERA in his last eight starts. With several Mets starters dealing with arm woes, Colon just continues to roll along.

Colon (6-4) gave up only one run on six hits and a walk over seven innings Sunday, striking out two, but still took the loss against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets mustered only four meager hits off Bud Norris over his seven innings, dooming Colon to a loss despite his best efforts. The big man now has a 2.86 ERA and nine quality starts in 16 outings on the season, but will have a tough test Friday at home against the Cubs.

Colon (hand) will take the mound for the Mets on Sunday against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Both a bruised thumb and a brief personal leave potentially put Sunday's start in jeopardy, but neither will ultimately cost Colon his 14th start of the 2016 season. The veteran has already faced the Braves once this year, striking out seven batters over eight scoreless frames back on May 2.

Colon (thumb) has left the team to attend his son's graduation but remains on track to start Sunday against the Braves, James Wagner of the New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
A bruised right thumb, the result of being hit by a line drive, forced Colon off the hill Tuesday after just four pitches. However, it seems the thumb has not presented any issues in subsequent side sessions as Colon is still in line for a favorable matchup at Turner Field on Sunday. Colon tossed eight innings of shutout ball against the Braves back in May.

Colon will throw a bullpen session Thursday to test out his bruised right thumb, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, reports.
EDGE Analysis
As long as the bullpen session goes well, Colon is expected to make his next start with the Mets Sunday against the Braves. In a start earlier this year against the Atlanta, Colon pitched eight scoreless innings while striking out seven and walking none.

The swelling in Colon's thumb has subsided, and the Mets expect him to make his next scheduled start Sunday, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon was forced from his previous start Tuesday after just four pitches after taking a comebacker off his thumb, but X-rays taken after the game came back negative, and a day later it appears he is only dealing with a minor setback. The Mets will provide an update on Colon's status if anything changes, but as of now he is next set to take the ball Sunday.
