Colon (3-1) allowed three runs on six hits, including a home run, over 6.2 innings in a victory against the Padres on Saturday. He also had five strikeouts and one walk.
EDGE Analysis
The 42-year-old has managed to improve his strikeout and walk numbers with age. Last season, he had a career-best 5.67 K/BB and led the league with a 1.1 BB/9. This season, he owns a 0.9 BB/9 and incredible 9.33 K/BB. Colon has a 2.82 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 38. 1 innings this year. His next start will come Thursday against the Dodgers.

Colon (2-1) was masterful Monday, shutting out the Braves for eight innings while striking out seven. He allowed seven hits and did not walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Colon flies under the radar in the Mets' star-studded rotation, but he has been incredibly impressive in 2016. The veteran righty has allowed three runs or fewer in each of his starts this year and has walked a grand total of three batters compared to his 28 strikeouts. His next start comes Saturday against the Padres.

Colon (1-1) gave up eight hits and three runs while striking out four in five innings of work during Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran hurler was on the hook for the loss until his teammates bailed him out with a four-run seventh inning. Tuesday marked the second start in a row in which Colon did not factor into the decision. With 21 total strikeouts, it's been a solid season for the 42-year-old, but fantasy owners will need him to start picking up more wins.

Colon (1-1) pitched six innings, allowing three runs, four hits and a walk while striking out four against the Phillies on Wednesday. Despite leaving the game with a lead, he did not factor in the decision as the contest wound up going into extra innings.
EDGE Analysis
At age 42, Colon continues to amaze the baseball world as he logged his second quality start of 2016. The right-hander has started 30-plus games while throwing 190-plus innings in each of the last three seasons. In three starts so far this year, Colon has a 3.12 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 17.1 innings, and the veteran appears poised to have another productive campaign.

Colon (1-1)surrendered eight hits, two earned runs and a walk over 5.1 innings in Friday's 6-5 victory over the Indians. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The ageless right-hander turned in a shorter stint than in his 1-0, tough-luck loss to the Phillies in his last trip to the mound, but received sufficient run support on this occasion to garner the victory. Colon was relatively sharp, throwing 62 of his 97 pitches for strikes against his first major league club. He benefited from four home runs on the part of his offense, and has looked effective overall in back-to-back starts.

Colon limited the Phillies to just one run on five hits while striking out seven in six innings Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Colon's one mistake, a fastball that Ryan Howard hit out of the park to left field, costing him and the Mets the game. Colon was attempting to tie Pedro Martinez for second on the all-time list by Dominican-born pitchers with 218 wins behind Juan Marichal, who ranks first with 243 victories. He will get his next chance to tie that mark next week.

Colon will be the Mets' fifth starter until Zack Wheeler (elbow) returns from the disabled list, Matt Ehalt of NorthJersey.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wheeler's recovery and rehab from Tommy John surgery is expected to keep him off a major league mound until close to the All-Star break, so Colon's run as a starter will last around half the season before the veteran moves to a bullpen role. Although it's a reality that Colon won't be an every day starter for the whole season, he could potentially have fantasy value as a first half rental option.

Colon agreed to a one-year, $7.25 million contract with the Mets on Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon should begin the season as the Mets fifth starter with Zack Wheeler still sidelined, and will serve as an insurance policy should any of the other young Mets hurlers suffer an injury. The 42-year-old has been about as reliable as they over the last few seasons, starting at least 30 games in each of the last three and hovering around 200 innings. In his two years with the Mets, he hasn't been able to match the numbers he posted in 2013 with Oakland, but the Colon should once again serve at the back end of the Mets rotation in 2016. He reportedly turned down offers from Atlanta and Oakland to re-sign with the Mets.

Colon allowed three runs in five innings, with all the damage coming on a Darin Ruf home run in the first inning Tuesday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
After reeling off three scoreless starts, Colon allowed 11 runs over 23.2 innings his last four outings. This may be his last start of the season and as a Met, as he likely will pitch out of the bullpen in the playoffs and will be a free agent after the year.

Colon allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out just one batter over 6.1 innings against the Braves on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Colon entered the seventh inning with a 2-0 lead, but he proceeded to load the bases with one out before being yanked for reliever Addison Reed, who proceeded to give up a pair of hits that brought home all three inherited runners. Colon continues to get by mostly thanks to his veteran wiles, as he's remarkably given up three or fewer (usually fewer) runs in each of his last six outings, and yet he's struck out just seven batters in his last four starts combined.
