Colon (1-3) gave up five runs on seven hits, two walks and a hit batsman over four innings in Wednesday's loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Colon's old Mets mates got revenge on him for his six-inning gem against them back on April 5. He didn't strike anyone out, but the veteran did give up four-plus runs for the fourth time in six outings this year. Indeed, the soon-to-be 44-year-old is off to a tough start in Atlanta, as evidenced by his 6.27 ERA. Colon's just around the strike zone too much, and it's hard to expect a repeat of the good fortune he benefited from last season. He remains useful in head-to-head and daily formats when the matchup's just right, but it's hard to imagine using Colon in a fantasy league with an innings limit.

Colon (1-2) allowed six runs on 10 hits and two walks over five innings while striking out five but came away with a no-decision in Friday's win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty was on the hook for the loss before the Braves scored six runs in the final three innings to produce a wild 10-8 victory. Colon has had two strong starts and three clunkers so far this season to saddle him with a 5.59 ERA, but his 7.1 K/9 through 29 innings is actually his highest mark since 2011. He'll look to get back on track Wednesday at home against the Mets.

Colon (1-2) allowed four runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out four across seven innings to take the loss Friday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Colon kept the Braves in the game despite struggling to keep the Phillies hitters off the base paths, as he failed to post a quality start for the second time in three outings. However, he's already had a pair of strong outings this season, and he's a player who can be used in favorable matchups in fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Mets.

Colon (1-1) allowed one run on one hit while walking one and striking out six over seven innings in Sunday's 9-2 victory over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
The only run and hit he allowed came on a solo shot by Ryan Schimpf in the second inning. Colon threw 60 of his 85 pitches for strikes and lowered his season ERA to 4.24 with the solid effort. The 43-year-old now has two effective starts with a clanker mixed in against the Marlins. It's amazing how he continues to defy Father Time and pitch effectively in the bigs despite a high-80s fastball. His lack of strikeouts makes him mostly an NL-only option, but he can be effective as a streamer in matchups similar to the one he had against the Padres.

Colon (0-1) was roughed up in Tuesday's 8-4 loss to the Marlins, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks across just four innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Colon allowed three runs in the first inning as five men reached base and another three via a home run off the bat of Marcel Ozuna in the third. He threw first-pitch strikes to 16 of 20 batters and was in the zone at a 71 percent clip, but he wasn't able to keep the opposition off balance due to spotty location of his fastball. Colon twirled a gem in his season debut and will look to bounce back from this rough outing in a more favorable matchup Monday against the Padres.

Colon spun six strong innings in his first start of the year Wednesday, giving up just a single run on two hits and a walk while whiffing six Mets in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Colon spent the past three seasons with the Mets, making at least 31 starts in each of them, and he's actually coming off the best of the three -- 15 wins with a 3.43 ERA and 1.21 WHIP will play in almost any fantasy format. However, his move to the Braves has to be considered a downgrade, as their offense and bullpen don't project to provide Colon with the same level of support that he enjoyed in New York. It's also hard to ignore that he's going to turn 44 years old next month.

Colon coughed up six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings during Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
He did get his pitch count up to 80, and there was some shaky glove work behind him, but there were still very few positives to take away from this outing for Colon. The 43-year-old insists he isn't worried about spring results, and in his defense he's had a spring ERA lower than 5.00 just once since 2008, but a 9.20 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 9:6 K:BB in 14.2 innings this March is creating at least a little doubt that he'll be able to extend his streak of seasons with at least 30 starts and 190 innings pitched to five.

Colon was tagged for five runs on eight hits and two walks over three innings while striking out one in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
More alarmingly, Pittsburgh trotted out a lineup full of prospects and younger players rather than its established regulars, but a bad outing in the middle of March is still nothing to be too concerned about. Colon will head into his 20th major league season with a secure spot in the Braves rotation, and could reach the 2,500 career strikeout mark late in the year.

Colon allowed one run on one hit and two walks over three innings while striking out three in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
The seemingly ageless Colon pitched at least 190 innings and won at least 14 games for the fourth straight season last year, and while he might not get the run support in Atlanta that he did with the Mets, the 43-year-old is still expected to provide the rebuilding Braves with a steady foundation for their rotation in 2017.

Colon threw two innings in Saturday's Grapefruit League opener against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on three hits while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
He ran into a spot of trouble in the second inning, after Toronto prospects Rowdy Tellez and Anthony Alford hit back-to-back doubles to begin the frame, but Colon got out of the jam without further damage. The 43-year-old is set to be an innings-eater for the Braves this season, and despite his advanced baseball age, there's no reason to think he can't make at least 30 starts for the fifth straight year.
