Miller (knee) will throw his second bullpen session Wednesday, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller was able to get through his first bullpen session Monday with no issues, so he'll ramp things up in his second mound workout as he closes in on a return from the disabled list. If all goes well Wednesday, Miller could move on to face live hitters, lining him up for a return sometime around mid-September. Once he returns, the southpaw will resume his role as a high-leverage, multi-inning reliever at the back end of Cleveland's bullpen.

Miller (knee) has resumed a throwing program, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being shut down for a short period of time, Miller was recently cleared to resume throwing on flat ground. There is no set timetable for him to return to mound work, but if Miller is able to get back onto elevated ground in a week or so, he should make it back by mid-September. He will return to a high-leverage, multi-inning role at the back end of the Indians' bullpen once activated.

Indians general manager Mike Chernoff told MLB Network Radio on Sunday that he expects Miller (knee) to return from the 10-day disabled list in a couple weeks.
EDGE Analysis
It's not the firmest recovery timetable for Miller, but it mostly aligns with what was expected after it was reported Aug. 25 that the reliever would be shut down for about a week before resuming a throwing program. Since having Miller at full strength for the postseason is the Indians' top priority, the Indians are likely to take a conservative approach with his recovery from right patella tendinitis, an issue that has resulted in two DL stints in the past month. Until Miller is back in the fold, Joe Smith and Bryan Shaw will act as the primary setup options for closer Cody Allen.

Miller (knee) will be shut down for 5-to-7 days while dealing with patellofemoral syndrome, an association of patella tendinitis, Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Miller will need time to rest and recover, the team doctors seem hopeful and encouraged that the left-hander "will respond well" to a more conservation throwing program, which he will begin following his shut-down period. The Indians will be able to provide a timetable for Miller's return once he's able to begin throwing.

Miller (knee) was placed on the 10-day DL on Tuesday with patellar tendinitis.
EDGE Analysis
He reinjured his knee in Monday's game against Boston, and it's serious enough that he will need more than a week to get right. Cody Allen will get all of the save opportunities for now, which is basically the case even when Miller is healthy. Shawn Armstrong was recalled from Triple-A on Tuesday, so he will offer short-term bullpen depth. Miller would be eligible to be activated Sept. 1.

After exiting Monday's game early due to injury, Miller (knee) said he believes he'll be fine, SportsTime Ohio reports.
EDGE Analysis
The big lefty sounds optimistic that he'll avoid going back on the DL after re-aggravating the same injury that put him on the shelf earlier this month. However, his status will be determined by the team, and word of Miller's immediate future should become available prior to Tuesday's game against Boston.

Miller aggravated his knee injury in his second appearance back from the disabled list Monday against Boston, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller threw just two strikes in seven pitches Monday and was pulled in the middle of an at-bat. He has missed 17 days with the injury already this month. Expect a further update before Tuesday night's game, but chances are Miller will be heading right back to the DL.

Miller left his first appearance since returning from the DL with a knee injury after just seven pitches (two strikes), Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear what happened with Miller, but he never seemed to have his footing on the mound Monday night and was forced to leave mid-at-bat against the second hitter he faced. The easy assumption here is that Miller aggravated his knee injury, but no announcement has been made regarding the injury or its severity yet. Expect an update after the Red Sox training staff can get a look at Miller.

Miller (knee) was activated from the disabled list Friday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com, reports.
EDGE Analysis
As planned, Cleveland's dominant reliever was brought off the DL. Miller will return to his spot at the forefront of the bullpen and look to build on his elite 1.67 ERA and 0.76 WHIP. In a corresponding move, Abraham Almonte was placed on the disabled list with a strained hamstring.

Miller (knee) tossed a spotless inning of relief during his rehab appearance with Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, and remains on track for reinstatement prior to Friday's series opener against the Royals, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller will wind up missing about two and a half weeks while recovering from right knee tendinitis, but appears to be good to go after feeling fine during Wednesday's rehab outing. The left-hander should be available out of the bullpen upon his return, while sliding right back into his normal role as the key setup man for Cleveland.
