Miller is away from the team while dealing with the flu, Zack Meisel of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller was sent home Monday and has missed the previous two workouts while battling the illness. He should be back at camp shortly, where he'll once again prepare to open the season as an elite, and versatile, back-end arm for the Indians.

Miller retired the only Royal he faced Saturday to pick up his 22nd hold of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander needed just two pitches to get Lorenzo Cain to line out to center and end Kansas City's seventh-inning rally. Miller has now pitched in two games since return from a knee injury that sidelined him for multiple weeks. He looked more polished Saturday than he did in his first outing, a good sign for fantasy owners who are counting on Miller to rack up a few fantasy-worthy stats before season's end.

Miller (knee) made his return to the mound after a 23-day layoff, and allowed two hits while striking out one Royal in an inning of work Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The big lefty shook off some rust with an 11-pitch seventh inning. Miller should return to his normal eighth-inning setup role once he gets back into a rhythm.

Miller (knee) was activated from the 10-day DL prior to Thursday's game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
In an expected move, the Indians add Miller to the active roster following a three-week absence due to patellar tendinitis. The left-hander was able to toss a couple simulated games over the past week, and will ease back into his relief role for the Kansas City series this weekend.

Miller (knee) is expected to be activated from the DL on Thursday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a couple successful simulated games in the books, Miller is now ready to return, although pitching coach Mickey Callaway suggested the lefty will see "limited game action" during the Royals series. The Indians won't push their luck with Miller as he will be an important part of their postseason run. He made just two appearances upon his initial return last month before aggravating the knee issue.

Manager Terry Francona said Miller (knee) could be activated from the disabled list as early as Thursday, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller already has a pair of simulated games under his belt, and the Indians are in the process of determining if he'll need another simulated outing before his activation. If Miller isn't ready to return by Thursday, he'll throw another simulated game with his return likely coming shortly thereafter. However, If he checks out before Thursday, look for him to return to Cleveland's bullpen in a high-leverage, multi-inning relief role for their series opener against the Royals.

Indians' pitching coach Mickey Callaway said Miller (knee) will probably pitch in a game this homestand.
EDGE Analysis
Miller has been sidelined since Aug. 22 with patellar tendinitis, but he appears to be on the cusp of a return after getting through a second simulated game with no issues Monday. Look for him to return to a high-leverage, multi-inning role out of Cleveland's bullpen when he returns, which is expected to be sometime before Monday.

Miller (knee) threw 30 pitches in a simulated game Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller has been able to steadily ramp up his level of activity lately, as this marked his second simulated game over the last four days. Although the Indians haven't said when they plan to bring Miller off the disabled list, it would appear that his eventual activation isn't too far away based on his recent workouts. More information regarding the start reliever's status should be available in the near future.

Miller (knee) threw 40 pitches split between mound work and a bullpen warmup session Friday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The best, and most important, news that comes out of this session is that Miller felt better than he had during his pair of bullpens earlier this week. The left-hander was able to throw to Jason Kipnis off the mound during a shortened version of a simulated game prior to Cleveland's contest against the Orioles. Looking ahead, Miller could mimic this sort of outing once again in the coming days, and may potentially be back on the active roster come early next week.

Miller (knee) was out tossing off the mound with Jason Kipnis prior to Friday's game against the Orioles, Chris Assenheimer of The Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller was able to throw a pair of bullpen sessions earlier this week, and it's expected that the lefty will go up against live hitting in the near future. It appears as though Miller is on the verge of activation, and could return to the bullpen sometime next week, if all goes well.
