Gordon (wrist) will begin hitting from a tee Monday, but there is no timetable for his return, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Once he's cleared to resume playing in games, Gordon may need a few games on a rehab assignment before he's cleared to rejoin the Royals' lineup. Nevertheless, it sounds like his timetable for a return should be measured in weeks rather than days at this stage.

Gordon went 2-for-4 with a home run, his fourth of the season, in Thursday's loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
There's been a concerning power outage in Gordon's game through the early portion of the season. Through 113 at-bats, the outfielder's slugging percentage (.381) and ISO (.142) are at their lowest levels since 2010. Compounding concerns is the fact that his strikeout rate has exploded to 30.6 percent, way above his career rate of 21 percent. It's probably unfair to give up on the three-time All Star just yet, but his value is certainly lower than it's been in a long time.
