Hicks did not come out to the field for the ninth inning of Thursday's game in Oakland, a contest that eventually went into extra innings.
EDGE Analysis
There's no word yet as to the nature of the issue and there was no specific play immediately preceding his departure, though Hicks did crash hard into the outfield wall earlier in the contest. The Yankees apparently could be facing some lineup issues after also losing Gary Sanchez following a collision with Oakland's Chad Pinder.

Hicks drove in three runs and finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored against the Orioles on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With Jacoby Ellsbury (concussion) out indefinitely, Hicks is evolving into a solid outfield fantasy option. His current slash line .318/.426/.584 is salacious and he's expected to see plenty of action atop the Yankees' order, at least for the time being.

Hicks went 2-for-5 with two home runs in Friday's win over the Orioles. Hicks will keep the starting center field job when Jacoby Ellsbury returns from a concussion, manager Joe Girardi told the New York Daily News. "He's going to play a lot. That's the bottom line, when (Ellsbury) comes back," Girardi said.
EDGE Analysis
It sounds like Ellsbury will move to a fourth outfielder role as a result. Hicks' surprisingly start to the season hasn't seen any signs of slowing down as he's hitting .393 in June.

Hicks smacked four hits Thursday, including three doubles, in the Yankee's 9-2 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks' big night comes on the heels of a hot week in place of Jacoby Ellsbury, who is currently on the 7-day disabled list with a concussion. He is now 12-for-30 in his last nine games, and it will be interesting to see if the Yankees decide to officially make Hicks a full-time member of the outfield, although he played the majority of games in May.

Hicks will bat second and man center field in Wednesday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
With Jacoby Ellsbury (concussion) still experiencing symptoms and on the disabled list, Hicks will make his sixth consecutive start. He's typically served as the Yankees' seventh hitter, but with backstop Gary Sanchez receiving the day off, Hicks will move up five spots in the order. Hicks could carry some intrigue in DFS contests Wednesday with struggling right-hander Kevin Gausman taking the hill for the home team.

Hicks will start in center field and bat seventh Sunday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
With Jacoby Ellsbury (neck/concussion) hitting the 7-day disabled list Wednesday, Hicks has taken over as the Yankees' primary center fielder in the interim. While he won't have a clear route to regular at-bats once Ellsbury is activated, Hicks could be an appealing short-term pickup where available, as he' s produced well over 137 plate appearances this season, slashing .287/.426/.556 with eight homers and six steals.

Hicks went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run in Wednesday's 11-7 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
With the Yankees outfield at full strength again Hicks' playing time has started to dwindle, but he's still slashing .357/.491/.619 over the last two weeks and the team may try to work him into the mix at first base to keep his hot bat in the lineup.

Hicks took ground balls at first base after batting practice Tuesday, George A. King of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Greg Bird on the disabled list and Chris Carter -- before Tuesday's three-hit, two-run home run showing -- struggling at the plate, the Yankees are trying to get creative with their options at first. Manager Joe Girardi has also turned to Matt Holliday there three times but indicated he'd rather keep the 37-year-old at DH. With Hicks off to a blazing start at the plate -- .317/.457/.585 slash line with six home runs -- they'll look to keep his bat in the lineup anyway they can, so it's possible the 27-year-old may see some action at first while Bird remains on the shelf.

Hicks went 4-for-5 with a double, a three-run home run, three runs and a stolen base during Saturday's win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder has only started 14 games this season, but he's still turned in excellent fantasy numbers with 17 runs, six home runs, 15 RBI, four stolen bases and a .355/.468/.710 slash line. It's a wonder he can't find full-time at-bats. His current pace is unsustainable, but even with statistical decline across the board, Hicks would remain a solid asset. It's also worth adding that both Brett Gardner and Jacoby Ellsbury have already missed time with injuries this season.

Hicks is batting second and playing center field Friday against the Cubs, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He continues to fill in for Jacoby Ellsbury (elbow), who's not yet on the disabled list but still needs rest after sustaining a bruised nerve in his left elbow. Hicks, meanwhile, will earn more playing time in his absence and square off against Kyle Hendricks on Friday.
