Hicks (oblique) is expected to begin a rehab assignment following the team's current homestand, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This timetable would line Hicks up to head to the minors sometime during the first week of August. No word has come forth as to how long the rehab stint will be, although if everything goes off without a hitch, he could return to the fray during the second week of the month.

Hicks (oblique) is scheduled to hit in the batting cage Tuesday for the first time since getting injured, Brendan Kuty of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the step in the right direction, the outfielder remains without an estimate of when he'll be able to begin rehab games. Hicks has been out of action for a month now, and he likely won't be ready until sometime in August. Look for Brett Gardner to continue manning center field in his stead until then.

Hicks (oblique) is not expected to begin baseball activities until the end of the Yankees' upcoming road trip, Joe Giglio of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Between the All-Star break and the fact that the Yankees will be embarking on a three-city, 11-game road trip to open the second half, this timeline could mean Hicks won't be able to ramp up activities for two more weeks. Manager Joe Girardi indicated the injury grade was higher than the club initially believed, but Hicks is hopeful he'll be able to start taking batting practice before the end of July and proceed from there. Jacoby Ellsbury will continue to man center field on a regular basis in the meantime.

Hicks (oblique) will head to the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks left Sunday's game with oblique tightness, and now this injury will keep him sidelined for roughly three or four weeks. The 27-year-old was slashing .288./.397/.515 in 240 plate appearances this season and was seeing action nearly every day with Jacob Ellsbury (concussion) on the DL. Now, it will be interesting to see if Ellsbury can come back and reclaim his starting center field job, or if the Yankees have to turn to someone else, like moving Brett Gardner there and playing Mason Williams in left, or just having Williams take over in center.

Hicks left Sunday's game with the Rangers due to right oblique tightness, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks will have an MRI after checking out of the game in the top of the fifth inning. Austin Romine came in to the game and shifted over to first base while Mason Williams moved over center and Tyler Austin slid to right in his absence. If Hicks has to miss any time, Romine and Williams would likely be the biggest beneficiaries. He should be considered day-to-day until more information becomes present.

Hicks (Achilles) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels, batting second and playing center field.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks missed the past three games with Achilles soreness, but everything seems to be back in working order once again. Prior to getting hurt, the 27-year-old outfielder was hitting very well in the month of June, posting a .322 batting average with nine doubles and 12 RBI. He'll displace Mason Williams in the starting lineup and reclaim his position in the upper-third of the batting order.

Hicks (Achilles) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder will hit the bench for a third straight game while he continues to deal with Achilles soreness, an injury that forced him out late in Thursday's series opener. Mason Williams has been serving as Hicks' replacement in center field and has supplied two hits in seven at-bats over the last two games. Williams would presumably be in store for a full-time role this week if Hicks' injury ends up forcing him to the disabled list, but the Yankees will likely wait until Tuesday's game against the Angels before making a call on Hicks' status.

Hicks (Achilles) is not in the lineup Saturday against the Athletics, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the second game in a row Hicks will watch from the bench as a result of the Achilles injury he incurred Thursday evening. No further word has emerged as to how close he is to returning, so consider him day-to-day for the time being. Mason Williams will once again man center field in his place.

Hicks (Achilles) is not in the lineup Friday against the Athletics, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Hicks will retreat to the bench for a night off after leaving Thursday's game with Achilles soreness. Mason Williams will take over in center field while he's sidelined.

Hicks is reportedly dealing with Achilles soreness, Randy Miller of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sweeny Murti of Sports Radio 66 WFAN also reports that Mason Williams is heading to Oakland to meet the team prior to Friday's contest, making it seem like Hicks isn't available for the game. No word on the severity has been disclosed at this time, so the switch hitting outfielder should be considered day-to-day for the time being. A DL stint very well could be in play since Williams is already on his way to join the team, but an official move has yet to be made.
