Lecavalier potted his eighth goal of the season in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Pittsburgh. It's the aging star's first goal since January 3 -- ending a 27-game drought. His 19 points in 53 games this season are a disappointment, and dynasty owners will have to decide to gamble on him in this upcoming campaign.

Lecavalier will return to the lineup Tuesday against the Stars, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports. Lecavalier, who sat out the Flyers' last three games, will replace R.J. Umberger in the lineup and likely serve in a fourth-line capacity. Though he'll be back in action Tuesday, it's clear the Flyers aren't expecting much from the 34-year-old former star, who has been scratched 13 times already this season and has posted 17 points and a minus-9 rating over 46 games.

Lecavalier will return to the lineup Saturday against the Rangers, NHL.com's Adam Kimelman reports. Lecavalier served as a healthy scratch for the Flyers' last four games, but will replace Zac Rinaldo on the team's fourth line Saturday. With merely 16 points and a minus-9 rating over 44 games this season, Lecavalier's decline has been even more rapid than anticipated. And it could get a lot worse from here, as he's still under contract for another three seasons.

Lecavalier is expected to be a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against the Predators, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.Coach Craig Berube tinkered with his lines at Friday's practice, with Lecavalier ultimately finding himself outside of the top four trios. Barring a late change of heart from the coach, Lecavalier will hit the press box, which was a regular occurrence for him in December. The 34-year-old has gone 19 games without a goal, while providing only three assists during that stretch.

Lecavalier assisted on both Flyer goals in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Isles. This amounts to a breakout game by Lecavalier's modern standards, as he earned as many points Thursday as he had in his prior 12 outings combined. His name will keep him on the back end of fantasy rosters in deeper formats, but this just isn't the same guy anymore.

Lecavalier has failed to mark up the boxscore in six straight games. After notching points in the three straight games, Lecavalier has cooled considerably. He's on pace for his worst season, and his fantasy is tenuous at best.

After scoring a goal in Saturday's loss to the Devils, Lecavalier extended his point streak to three games. Banished to the press box for the first half of December, Lecavalier has provided a jolt since returning, netting five goals and an assist over nine games. That extent of production is unlikely to last for Lecavalier, but it will at least lock him back into the lineup for the foreseeable future.

Lecavalier picked up an assist in Friday's loss to Carolina. A resurgent Lecavalier now has four goals and five points in his past six games. Considering he's only averaging 13:34 of ice time on the Flyers' fourth line, it's impressive Lecavalier is still on track to land around the 20-goal mark. If he can continue this solid play, he's worth a look in some very deep leagues.

Lecavalier ended a seven-game scoring drought Sunday, potting two goals in a win over Winnipeg. The 34-year-old now has four goals and eight points in 19 games, to go with a minus-4 rating. While he still has some gas left in the tank, the fourth-liner has been too inconsistent to be depended on in most fantasy formats right now. He's looked better of late, though, and is one to monitor, because if he catches fire, he could be worth adding in some deeper formats.

Coach Craig Berube said after Wednesday's practice that there is a "good chance" Lecavalier will play Thursday against the Panthers, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports. Lecavalier has spent the previous seven games in the press box, but it looks like Berube has finally warmed up to the idea of returning the pricey veteran into the lineup. Berube said Lecavalier would likely play at his natural center spot Thursday, though probably in a bottom-six role, making it difficult for him to deliver much value.
