Viktor Fasth was able to bounce back from a rough start on Tuesday.
Fasth was making his Oilers debut and playing in his first NHL game since Nov. 18. He allowed three goals over the span of just over four minutes in the latter half of the first period. That put Edmonton down 3-0, but Fasth was solid after that and the Oilers managed to win 4-3 in a shootout. "I had three goals early in the game . . . it couldn't get worse than that. I just had to try and fight my way in to the game," said Fasth. "A couple of bad bounces but me being away from hockey for a couple of months didn't help either. I could have done better but we got back from that, we battled through the game. It feels really good to have played the first game and to get back into it. I'm really glad I'm on the ice again." He's not expected to play too much behind Ben Scrivens.
