Tatar scored his 15th goal of the season in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss against the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar scored with just :02 left in regulation to force OT. He is starting to score with more regularity, lighting the lamp in three of his past five outings. The Slovakian forward still has work to do if he wants to secure his third consecutive 20-goal campaign.

Tatar tallied another goal Sunday as the Red Wings prevailed over the Penguins on the road, 5-2.
EDGE Analysis
Hot Sauce has been tough on the opposition lately with goals in back-to-back games, but we'd still like to see him snap out of his gun-shy mindset; the Slovakian winger has fired a mere 13 shots over nine games this month. Tatar compiled 50 goals between his last pair of campaigns -- so you know he has it in him -- but he'll have to go on an absolute tear to reach 20 this time around. A change of scenery could do him wonders.

Tatar factored into Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals on Saturday with a regulation goal, his 13th of the season.
EDGE Analysis
With the Red Wings likely to be sellers at the trade deadline, Tatar's name has been swirling around as potential bait for other teams in need of a naturally skilled sniper who can handle a top-six role and work on the power play. Tatar has been all over the place in terms of his place in Detroit's lineup, as the Winged Wheel have been consistently slammed with injuries, but he could end up being a steal for fantasy owners if he ends up heading to a competitor willing to give him a stable role.

Tatar collected two assists during Friday's win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
With 12 points through his past 16 games, Tatar is beginning to provide more consistent scoring. However, the 26-year-old winger has an uphill climb to match his career-best numbers from the 2014-15 campaign (29 goals and 56 points). He's currently presenting some value in daily contests, but you'll want to be picky about the matchup, and Tatar is likely best left to deep seasonal leagues at this stage of the game.

Tatar will be a restricted free agent at the end of this season, and there's been speculation from The Hockey Writers that he could wind up in Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
We'll preface our take on Tatar by reminding you that this is nothing but a rumor, but a trade to the Flyers would make sense given that the Red Wings' gaudy playoff streak of 25 straight seasons is in jeopardy of being snapped, and this is a team that had little choice but to waive minor-league forward phenom Teemu Pulkkinen -- he's contributed 27 points in 35 games with the AHL's Wild -- ahead of the season. Tatar's contract will expire this summer, at which point the Red Wings will need to come to terms on a new deal with young guns like the crafty Andreas Athanasiou, who will be restricted, as well as deciding what to do with the current scoring leader in veteran Thomas Vanek. Remember, Tatar amassed 50 goals over a two-year span between 2014-16 -- Currently ranked 14th in goals per game, Philly could use another complement to the likes of captain Claude Giroux since it's middling in an ultra-competitive Metropolitan Division. The team from the Motor City desperately needs a power-play defenseman, and the Flyers are well-equipped with puck-movers on the back line. As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, Tatar could also be of interest to the Blackhawks.

Tatar scored a goal and added two assists with plus-4 rating during Monday's win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
It was a rare offensive outburst for the 26-year-old winger, as Tatar is currently having his worst statistical season since becoming a regular during the 2013-14 campaign. With a top-six role and power-play time, though, there is potential for Tatar to pick up his production. However, he's also playing through a shoulder injury and hoping to delay surgery until the offseason. There's a risk he shuts his season down if Detroit begins to play meaningless games, which looks likely at this stage of the game.

Tatar plans to play through pain in his left shoulder, though he intends on delaying surgery until the offseason, The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
"It's limited (currently) but it doesn't really hurt, it's on and off," Tatar said. "It's become a little issue for sure. I'm trying to do the best (possible), and keep playing and be good to go every day." While it's commendable that Tatar-- with 19 points in 42 games -- has the mental drive to play through the pain, we wonder if he'll have a change of heart if the Red Wings end up seeing their playoff streak of 25 straight seasons come to an end early. Currently, Detroit is in last place in the Atlantic Division and tied with the Islanders for the fewest points in the Western Conference. At the very least, the is a situation worth monitoring if you're relying on Tatar in fantasy.

Tatar was unable to take part in Wednesday's practice for an undisclosed reason, but is fully expected to play in Thursday's game against the Stars, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The details surrounding Tatar's absence from Thursday's practice remain unclear, although it doesn't appear to be injury related, which is good news for the 26-year-old winger. Look for him to take on his normal role Thursday, after putting up nine goals and 10 assists over 41 games so far this season.

Tatar sent Thursday's game against the Senators to overtime with his eighth goal of the season. The Red Wings would prevail, 3-2.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar is a fan favorite in Detroit -- he's smart, flashy, and you can apply several puns to the skilled sniper's alliterative name. However, Tatar is terribly inconsistent from one game to the next. Case in point: only twice this season has he gone on a scoring streak, and three games is the longest that he's been able to stretch a run of points. His random offensive outbursts make him a high-risk / high-reward option in daily fantasy.

Tatar scored a hat trick Saturday against the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar has averaged 23 goals a season over the last three, but he's only at seven right now. The hat trick snaps a four-game point drought. Let's hope this effort signals a strong rebound for him.
