Wilson's three-game suspension has been served, and he'll be eligible to return for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was banned for delivering a high hit on the Penguins' Zach Aston-Reese in Game 3, resulting in a broken jaw and concussion for the first-year NHLer. The Capitals figure to benefit from Wilson's physical ways against a terrific offensive team in the Lightning, so long as it doesn't result in unnecessary penalties or more suspensions. Of course, Wilson is no slouch in the attacking zone himself, as he accumulated two goals and five assists through nine games between series against the Blue Jackets and Penguins, respectively.

Wilson was suspended for three playoff games for his hit on the Penguins Zach Aston-Reese in Game 3, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson's suspension isn't all that surprising given his history of suspensions and the injury that Aston-Reese sustained likely both played into the length of his current ban following a hit to the head. He would be allowed to return for Game 7, should the series carry that far. Otherwise, he could return for Game 1 or 2 in the Eastern Conference finals if they advance or to open 2017-18 should they be eliminated. Travis Boyd or Andre Burakovsky (upper body) -- if healthy -- will be the likely options to draw in for Game 4.

Wilson will be subjected to a league hearing for delivering an illegal check to the head of Zach Aston-Reese in Game 3 of the conference semifinals Tuesday,
EDGE Analysis
This is the second straight game that Wilson has elicited outcry among the Penguins faithful for a questionable hit in the series. The Capitals' top-line winger managed to avoid discipline for his hit on Brian Dumoulin in Game 2, but his most recent high hit left Aston-Reese with a broken jaw and concussion, according to ESPN.com, and that undoubtedly will be a key consideration as the league contemplates whether a suspension is warranted this time around.

Wilson won't be suspended for a questionable hit he delivered on Pittsburgh's Brian Dumoulin during Sunday's Game 2 win, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The play occurred as Wilson was chasing Dumoulin on the forecheck. Dumoulin appeared to be bracing for a hit from the oncoming Alex Ovechkin when Wilson appeared to make contact with the Pittsburgh defenseman's head. The Penguins were understandably upset with the decision, as Dumoulin has been deemed a game-time decision for Tuesday's Game 3. While Wilson hasn't removed the sometimes over-the-line physicality from his game, he has become a more polished offensive player, recording six points in eight postseason tilts.

Wilson assisted on both of his team's goals in Thursday's 3-2, Game 1 loss to the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Known more for his physicality, Wilson's also flashed the skill that prompted Washington to draft him with the 16th overall pick back in 2012. He's thriving in a first-line role this postseason, having racked up two goals and five points in the past five games. Savvy daily owners have been getting tremendous bang for the buck on the power forward.

Wilson opened the scoring in Washington's 3-2 win over Columbus in Tuesday's Game 3.
EDGE Analysis
The goal was Wilson's first point of the postseason after he failed to even put a single shot on goal in the first two games of the series. Wilson picked up the goal by going to the net -- where his big frame is most dangerous in the offensive zone --and tipping a Matt Niskanen shot. Though he plays on the team's top line, Wilson won't give fantasy owners the kind of offensive production consistent with his role.

Wilson netted back-to-back goals in Saturday's 6-4 road win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
As long as Wilson continues to skate in the top six with Nicklas Backstrom -- who was the primary distributor on both of his tallies -- he's going to be worth a look in fantasy leagues. The 2012 first-round (16th overall) draft pick keeps adding to his banner season, having accumulated 13 goals and 20 helpers through 71 games.

Wilson recorded an assist, three shots five hits, and a plus-1 rating during Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
The Toronto native rose to the occasion against his hometown club as he builds on a career-high season with his 29th point in 61 games. More importantly, the 23-year-old seems to have earned the trust of his coaches and is sticking on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. The burly winger's days as a specialized fantasy commodity are coming to a close as he continues to hone his scoring touch. However, he has managed just two points in his last seven games, so consistency is still a lingering issue.

Wilson recorded a goal and 12 penalty minutes during Saturday's 7-1 loss to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old winger was the lone bright spot in an otherwise dismal performance for the Capitals as he now has three goals and five points in his last three games. Wilson continues to build on a breakout campaign, so snag him if by some small chance he's still available in your fantasy pool.

Wilson scored twice and added an assist during Thursday's 5-2 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
There have been a number of flashes from Wilson this season, and he certainly proved capable of holding his own skating alongside Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin on Thursday. As long as a truculent winger is lining up on Washington's No. 1 line, he offers fantasy upside. However, Wilson has never been able to solidify himself in that role. As a result, he's proven to be a better candidate for daily contests than in the majority of seasonal settings this season.
