Monahan has collected 11 points -- and a whopping seven on the man advantage -- in the past 10 games.
EDGE Analysis
The punchy pivot wasn't able to solve Sharks goalie Martin Jones on Tuesday, but there hasn't been anything for Monahan's owners to complain about of late. He's on the top line with Kris Versteeg and Troy Brouwer and averaging 3:07 on the power play on a per-game basis. While Monahan is struggling defensively as evidenced by his minus-11 rating, he generally sprinkles in enough offense to offset that category, which isn't universally used to begin with.

Monahan provided the game-winning goal on the power play and tacked on an assist during Tuesday's 2-1 win against Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
It's safe to say Monahan is happy to see his buddy, Johnny Gaudreau, back in the lineup. Not only has the 22-year-old notched back-to-back multi-point outings along with Johnny hockey, the youngster has also reached the scoresheet in five straight after going pointless in five beforehand. The star center is lagging behind his usual pace -- 15 points through 29 games -- but he's got a better chance to start to pile up the production with a healthier top six.

Monahan contributed a goal and an assist in Sunday's win over the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
It was a blowout and Monahan gladly welcomed linemate Johnny Gaudreau back into the lineup for the 8-3 victory. Monahan is now sporting a four-game point streak and has found twine twice in that span. While he's only got 13 points in 28 games, Monahan is heating up on a Flames team that has won three straight, so now that Gaudreau is back in the lineup, Monahan could really take off.

Monahan scored the shootout winner and collected an even-strength assist against Minnesota on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Typically, a three-game point streak isn't much to get excited about, but with Monahan's slow start, fantasy owners will take any and all scoresheet appearances at this point. After all, he has just six goals and five assists through 27 games this year. The 22-year-old center could be in the midst of a season-saving hot stretch, and he should still be owned in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Monahan scored Calgary's only goal during Monday's overtime loss to the Islanders to snap a five-game point drought.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan is off to an awful start (nine points through 25 games), and missing linemate Johnny Gaudreau (finger) isn't helping. Even though the 22-year-old pivot has posted consecutive 60-point seasons, there isn't a lot of optimism for an offensive turnaround with Calgary averaging just 2.24 goals per game. Monahan's fantasy owners are in a tough spot, and while it isn't out of the question to cut your losses in shallow leagues, he should continue to show offensive improvement. He entered Monday's game with an unsustainably low 94.2 PDO, after all.

Monahan registered a goal and an assist with a plus-2 rating and two shots on net during Friday's loss to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan snapped a three-game scoring drought with the multi-point outburst, and considering his top offensive role, his slow start -- six points through the first 18 games -- could quickly become a thing of the past. The 22-year-old pivot has consecutive 60-point seasons, and Monahan should show more offensive consistency going forward.

Monahan failed to register a point or a shot on net through 15:07 of ice time during Tuesday's win over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
The sluggish start continued for the 22-year-old pivot, as Monahan sits with an underwhelming six points -- four goals -- through the first 16 games of the season. However, with consecutive 60-point campaigns on his resume and a 90.0 PDO entering Tuesday's contest, the offensive pendulum projects to swing in Monahan's favor sooner than later. He's a prime buy-low candidate.

Monahan scored a power-play goal and registered two shots on net during Monday's win over the Blackahwks.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old center is coming off consecutive 60-point campaigns and is poised for another solid showing in his fourth year in the league. However, it's been a slow start, and Monahan has just three goals through seven games thus far. His best fantasy production of 2016-17 is still ahead, so remain patient with the No. 1 center for the Flames.

Monahan lit the lamp in overtime, giving the Flames a 4-3 win over the visiting Sabres on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Only just 22 years old, Monahan has already tied Jarome Iginla for the most overtime-winning goals in franchise history (six). He's been just okay in four games so far on a Flames squad that's struggled out of the gate, but owners won't mind his two goals and nine shots on net.

Monahan (back) plans to play in Thursday night's preseason finale in Vancouver, Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia reports.
EDGE Analysis
It would appear that Monahan is past the back strain that kept him out of the World Cup of Hockey and the beginning of the preseason. Barring a setback in Thursday's game, he should be all systems go when the Flames open the season in Edmonton next week. Entering his fourth year in the league, Monahan could be primed for a breakout season, especially if he plays alongside young gun Johnny Gaudreau consistently.
