Monahan produced a goal and an assist -- along with a shootout tally -- in Sunday's 5-4 win over the visiting Devils.
EDGE Analysis
This is how top-line playmakers are supposed to perform. Monahan has scored in three straight games and now has points in his last four. He'll look to stretch his hot streak even further in Tuesday's home battle with the Canucks.

Monahan buried his fifth goal of the season and put seven shots on net in a 4-2 loss to Minnesota on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old forward has scored three goals and four points during his active three-game goal streak. Monahan's season-high seven shots on goal is likely correlated to his season-high 19:19 of ice time, 7:09 coming on the power play. His 17:06 average ice time is the lowest since his rookie campaign. However, if the Ontario native can keep up this level of production (eight points in eight games), increased playing time is sure to follow.

Monahan's power-play goal held up as the game-winner in a 2-0 win against Anaheim on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The big center's first tally of the season also helped the Flames end a 25-game (!) losing streak in Anaheim, so it's one he'll likely never forget. Monahan now has a pair of points and 11 shots on net through three games this season, and though his 15:22 of ice time Monday was over two full minutes less than last year's average, it's far too early to suggest any type of trend.

Monahan had to leave Wednesday's practice to get stitches in his nose, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to coach Glen Gulutzan, Monahan will "be fine," so there's no reason for fantasy owners to be concerned with his health heading into the regular season. The 22-year-old pivot, who's notched at least 58 points in three consecutive seasons, will be a desirable asset in all fantasy formats in 2017-18.

Monahan (wrist) is available for training camp with the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan bowed out of the 2017 IIHF World Championship due to his ailment, but he's scheduled to practice with the club Friday morning. The slick power-play pivot has posted 107 goals and 110 assists over 319 career contests, with the only knock against him seeming to be his cumulative minus-19 rating over the first four seasons.

Monahan will undergo a minor offseason wrist surgery, making him unavailable for the 2017 IIHF World Championships with Team Canada, Roger Millions of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
After playing in all 82 regular-season games for the Flames, including four postseason losses to the Ducks, Monahan will take some much-deserved time off the ice to regain full strength. Considering the surgery is minor in nature, it seems that the 22-year-old will be ready to go in time for Calgary's offseason festivities leading up to the 2017-18 campaign.

Monahan scored a power-play goal during Wednesday's Game 4 loss to Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan turned in a solid effort with a goal in all four games of the series and finished with five points, nine shots and an impressive 57.66 Corsi For percentage at five-on-five. With Monahan's entering his offensive prime, he could be in store for a career year in 2017-18, especially considering the progress the entire team made this season.

Monahan scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Ducks in Game 3. Both points came on the power play.
EDGE Analysis
The big center has found twine in each of the first three games of the series, but it's been all for naught as the Flames are now down 3-0 and face a near-impossible hill to climb. Look for a big game from Monahan in Game 4, again on home ice, as he looks to help his team get in the win column and stave off elimination.

Monahan scored a goal and added a trio of assists in a 4-2 win over Colorado on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
There's nothing quite like a visit from the league's worst team to help pad one's stats, which is exactly what Monahan did in this one, factoring into all four of Calgary's goals -- three of which came on the power play. He's been a man possessed since a three-game pointless streak in mid-March, ringing up 10 points in his last five contests.

Monahan scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan has 11 points (five goals, six assists) in his last 10 games and remarkably none of those points have come on the power play. They're all the hard-earned type of snipe. Monahan is up to 52 points in 75 games so far and should be an automatic in lineups given his hot ways.
