He's got plenty of offensive upside, but the Flyers are full of promising young players, so he'll have a tough time fighting his way up the depth charts. His hearing in his left ear hasn't completely returned, but it's "much better."

Several players, including Philadelphia teammates Brayden Schenn and Chris Pronger, passed their initial tests as well only to be diagnosed with concussions afterward. Couturier was hit in the back of the helmet by a shot in Saturday's loss to Boston and is currently listed as day-to-day. He did not travel with the team in Denver for Monday's match-up against the Avalanche.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced that Sean Couturier was released from the hospital and will be re-evaluated tomorrow. Couturier is listed at day-to-day, but that could be a very optimistic outlook. The rookie was gaining a great opportunity between Scott Hartnell and Jaromir Jagr, but his big-picture health is more important at this point. On the odd chance that you have him on your team, it's wise to part ways unless it's a keeper situation.
