Darling made 22 saves on 24 shots in a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Darling picked up a win over his old team, a rare bright spot in what has been a disappointing season for him. The 29-year-old only has 11 wins in 37 games and he has proven unable to unseat Cam Ward in Carolina. This victory does nothing to cover the fact Darling has a 3.06 GAA and an .890 save percentage.

Darling will defend the cage against the Blackhawks on Thursday, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darling is 0-2-1 in his prior four outings, along with a 3.89 GAA. With the Canes in playoff contention, the Virginia native probably won't get a ton of starts, as the club will want to ride a resurgent Cam Ward as long as possible. The 28-year-old Darling will get the change to square off with his former club on Thursday -- likely the reason coach Bill Peters gave him the nod.

Darling stopped 16 of 18 shots in relief of an ineffective Cam Ward during Tuesday's 6-2 loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Darling gave up a goal just 15 seconds after entering early in the second period, but he settled down from there and ended up with a much better stat line than the starter, who saved just nine of 13 shots. Considering Darling's .889 save percentage in this one matched his season mark, he's not much of a threat to Ward's playing time for a Carolina team that currently finds itself on the wrong end of the playoff bubble.

Darling made 28 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Darling's recent woes continued here. He's won just two of his past 11 starts while allowing at least three goals in each of the other nine. Don't count on him regaining fantasy relevance this season.

Darling will protect the road net during Tuesday's matchup against the Bruins, the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darling will receive starts in back-to-back games for the Hurricanes for the first time since he started both Dec. 16 against the Blue Jackets and again Dec. 19 versus the Maple Leafs. He was torched by Toronto in the second of the two affairs, allowing eight goals on 36 shots faced. The netminder attempt to post a better outing Tuesday, taking on a Bruins club averaging 3.20 goals per game. However, the Bruins will be without star pivot Patrice Bergeron (foot) for the contest.

Darling made 19 saves in a 3-1 loss to Detroit on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
So much for Darling becoming a darling in Carolina. This former back-up was supposed to become a starter in Raleigh, but that just hasn't worked out. Darling is 3-7 in his last 10 starts (dating back to Dec. 16). And since that start, his save percentage is an abysmal .793. Yes, that's a mile below hockey's Mendoza line. Darling should be on the wire. That is, unless you like anchors.

Darling has drawn the road start in goal against the Red Wings on Saturday, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Hurricanes have serious work to do in order to move into playoff position, but coach Bill Peters will still give starter Cam Ward a breather in favor of Darling, who seems to be on the starting-once-per-week plan. He's been anything but a fantasy darling with a 10-15-6 record, 3.05 GAA and .891 save percentage through 32 games, but the matchup itself could be much worse as the Red Wings rank 27th in scoring.

Darling gave up five goals on 22 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Darling's forgettable campaign continues, as he took the routine loss here even though his team held a 29-22 edge in shots. With four regulation losses in his last five appearances to go with a 3.05 GAA and .891 save percentage overall, the offseason acquisition is doing little to challenge Cam Ward for the No. 1 job in net.

Darling will start in goal Thursday night against host New jersey, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darling is just 10-14-6 with a 2.99 GAA and .894 save percentage. Those are disappointing numbers for the first-year Hurricane, and now he's being tasked with slowing down a Devils squad that's ranked fourth in a super-competitive Metropolitan Division.

Darling allowed just one goal on 22 shots in a 4-1 victory over the Canucks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It was another awesome performance from the 29-year-old in a season many thought would be full of them for Darling. But that just hasn't been the case, as Darling is only 10-14-6 even after Friday. Perhaps Friday's performance could be a turning point, but we've said that before as well. He posted a save percentage above .950 in a game on Dec. 16 and Jan. 11 as well and followed up those nights with dismal performances.
