Spooner (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Coyotes. Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Haggerty further notes that an IR stint could be in store for the team's 2010 second-round (45th overall) draft pick. Between Spooner's latest ailment and an undisclosed malady that erased a month of games starting in mid-October, Spooner has been limited to 10 contests this season. He assumes a man-advantage role when healthy, but has yet to mark the scoresheet in that special teams situation this year. Fortunately for the B's, rookie left winger Jake DeBrusk (upper body) is ready to return from an injury of his own.

Spooner has a lower-body injury and his status for Thursday's game against Arizona will be determined prior to puck drop.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy forward missed Wednesday's practice, though it's unclear when he suffered the injury. The also-injured Jake DeBrusk (upper body) skated in Spooner's place on the team's second line during practice, so it's safe to assume that this setup will continue should Spooner have to miss any game action. Look for the Bruins to offer an additional update on Spooner's condition after Thursday's morning skate.

Spooner scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
He has struggled this season, first with a groin injury and then with a mysterious ailment. Spooner is better than his production indicates and we hope to see him return to the type of pace that delivered 49 points in 80 games in 2015-16.

Per coach Bruce Cassidy, Spooner (undisclosed) "looks good" for Wednesday's game against the Lightning, indicating that he is expected to play.
EDGE Analysis
There's still the odd chance that Spooner will not be able to go Wednesday night, but with the Bruins dealing with copious injuries to their forward corps right now, it's more likely than not that the 25-year-old will return to action. Depending on who plays and who doesn't, Spooner could see time with the top-six forward group, but will still probably retain his spot with the power-play unit either way.

Spooner (undisclosed) took to the ice in preparation for a full practice Tuesday, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Between a groin injury and this latest mystery ailment, Spooner has only been able to draw into seven games this season. He's added two helpers to go along with six missed shots over that span. Boston's next game arrives Wednesday for a home clash with the Lightning, and the B's could use the power-play winger even in a limited capacity to help counter the league's top offense. It's best to take a wait-and-see approach with Spooner to see if he'll be fit to play in this next contest.

Spooner (undisclosed) won't play Sunday against the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
With Peter Cehlarik (leg) also sidelined Sunday, Matt Beleskey and Jordan Szwarz are slated to draw into the B's lineup against Edmonton. Spooner had played in two games since returning from a right groin adductor tear, though it's unclear at this time if his current absence is related to that issue.

Spooner (undisclosed) missed practice Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Though the report refers to Spooner's absence as a maintenance day, he's considered a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Oilers. In Friday's win over the Penguins -- his second game back from a right groin adductor tear -- Spooner recorded an assist.

In his first game since Oct. 15, Spooner (groin) logged 10:17 worth of ice time in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout win over New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
More importantly, Spooner saw 3:26 worth of power play duty, which suggests that the speedy forward could merit fantasy attention once he shakes the rust off following a 14-game layoff. In his first game back, Spooner worked as a winger on the Bruins' third line along with Noel Acciari and Riley Nash. Once the team gets healthier up front, however, Spooner figures to see action with more offensive-minded linemates.

Spooner (groin) will return to action for Wednesday night's contest in New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner will officially be activated from injured reserve soon and is slated to line up at left wing rather than his usual center position. The Bruins and fantasy owners alike will be hoping that the change in positioning will allow the Ontario native to jumpstart his offensive production, as he currently has just one assist to his name so far this season.

Spooner (groin) was a full participant at Tuesday's practice, Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston reports, and the team will make a decision on his status shortly.
EDGE Analysis
While it's far from a sure thing at the moment, the wording of the Bruins' statement and the fact that Spooner was able to take part fully in Tuesday's practice makes it a legitimate possibility that the pivot returns to game action Wednesday against the Devils after a 14-game absence. If he does play, the 25-year-old is slated to center Frank Vatrano and Riley Nash on Boston's third line.
