Spooner (lower body) will not play Sunday against Buffalo, Rick Carpiniello of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 5-foot-11 forward has just one goal and two points in 12 games this season, so his absence shouldn't hurt too many fantasy owners. Pavel Buchnevich will replace him for the time being.

Spooner scored his first goal of the season Sunday in a 4-3 road loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
The seven-year veteran has gotten off to a slow start with just two points in 10 games. Spooner recently found himself in the press box as a result of his struggles but perhaps a goal will get No. 23 going, who came into Sunday's contest without a point in his last five games.

Spooner will be a healthy scratch for Sunday's tilt against the Flame, Rick Carpiniello of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner has posted just one assist while averaging 12:44 of ice time in seven games this season. The 26-year-old scored 16 points in 20 games with the Rangers last season after being acquired from the Bruins, but that success hasn't carried over.

Spooner was blanked on four shots in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner's surface stats have always outperformed his lukewarm possession numbers, but he's been snakebitten in all categories to start the new campaign with just one assist through six games. While the former Bruins forward played just 10:56 in this one, a whopping 5:51 of that ice time came on the power play. The Rangers still believe in Spooner's offensive capabilities, even if they're underwhelmed by the total package, so his point totals should start to climb soon if he's able to stay in the lineup.

Spooner is in Saturday's lineup against the Islanders, the Rangers' official twitter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner left Wednesday's game against the Flyers with a hip strain, but that injury didn't prove to be very serious, seeing as he's right back in there for Saturday's contest. The trade deadline acquisition from last season's Rick Nash deal could challenge his 2015-16 high of 49 points if he's able to stay healthy, but that could be challenge for Spooner given that he's never dressed for all 82 games in a season before.

According to coach David Quinn, Spooner (hip) was held out for precautionary reasons after leaving Wednesday's clash with the Flyers, Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner -- who was acquired via trade last season from Boston -- notched 16 points in 20 outings in the Big Apple. The Ottawa native is in line for a top-six role this year along with a spot on the top power-play unit, giving him top-end fantasy value in nearly all formats.

Spooner will not rejoin the action Wednesday after suffering a lower-body injury, Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner notched a goal earlier in the contest, but it appears his night will end earlier than most due to a lower-body issue. He has some time to rest up before the Rangers open regular-season action Oct. 4 against the Predators. His next opportunity to dress arrives Saturday when the Rangers visit the cross-town rival Islanders, though the team has little incentive to rush him back.

Spooner inked a two-year contract with the Rangers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner was the last remaining restricted free agent for New York, as the two sides agreed to a deal that avoided salary arbitration. Following a trade deadline move to New York, the 25-year-old garnered four goals and 12 helpers in 20 contests. The Ottawa native saw significantly more ice time in the Big Apple (16:51 versus 14:29) and should continue to fill that increased role heading into the 2018-19 campaign.

Spooner filed for salary arbitration Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner had a rock-solid campaign in 2017-18, picking up nine goals and 25 points in 39 games with Boston before tacking on four goals and 16 points in 20 contests after being dealt to the Rangers in February. The 26-year-old pivot could be in line for a bump in pay after taking home $2.83 million on a one-year deal last season.

Spooner has received a qualifying offer from the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner was productive after coming over from Boston at the trade deadline, finishing with four goals and 16 points in 20 games with the Rangers. Still just 26 years of age, the skilled forward fits nicely with the youth movement on Broadway, although he's also rumored to be on the trading block.
